    Abstract: A visual navigation inspection and obstacle avoidance method for a line inspection robot is provided. The line inspection robot is provided with a motion control system, a visual navigation system and an inspection visual system; and the method comprises the following steps: (1) according to an inspection image, the inspection visual system determining and identifying the type of a tower for inspection; (2) the visual navigation system shooting a visual navigation image in real time to obtain the type of a target object; (3) coarse positioning; (4) accurate positioning; and (5) according to the type of the tower and the type of the target object, the visual navigation system sending a corresponding obstacle crossing strategy to the motion control system, such that the inspection robot completes obstacle crossing. The inspection and obstacle avoidance method is real-time and efficient.

    Abstract: A performing device of an impulse-like gesture recognition system executes an impulse-like gesture recognition method. A performing procedure of the impulse-like gesture recognition method includes steps of: receiving a sensing signal from a sensing unit; determining a prediction with at least one impulse-like label according to the sensing frames by a deep learning-based model; and classifying at least one gesture event according to the prediction. The gesture event is classified to determine the motion of the user. Since the at least one impulse-like label is used to label at least one detection score of the deep learning-based model, the detection score is non-decreasing, reaction time of the at least one gesture event for an incoming gesture is fast, rapid consecutive gestures are easily decomposed, and an expensive post-processing is not needed.

    Abstract: A resource manager (RM) instance is associated with each transaction processing system (TPS) member, of a TPS group. Each RM instance monitors performance of the associated TPS member. If a TPS member becomes unavailable for any reason (a failing TPS), the associated RM instance broadcasts status of the failing TPS to RMs associated “surviving” members of the group. RM instances associated with surviving members initiate a series of actions that reduce the resources used by the surviving TPS members. Consequently, the surviving TPS members are better able to process the additional workload imposed on them due to the unavailability of the failing TPS. Once the failing TPS is brought back online and made available again (or a replacement TPS is brought online), RM instances associated with the surviving members perform actions to undo the resource usage reduction tasks, and the TPS group returns to a nominal configuration.

The oligosaccharide may be 0.5-2% w/v of degraded sodium alginate, degraded xanthan gum, degraded dextran, degraded welan gum, degraded gellan gum, degraded diutan gum, or any combination thereof. When the divalent cation is in contact with the oligosaccharide, viscosity of the composition is greater than 1000 cP, and injection pressure of the composition falls within a range of 2.5-4 kgf.
