  • Publication number: 20210348182
Abstract: A genetically engineered land plant that expresses a protein that has homology to a plant invertase inhibitor and/or a pectin methylesterase inhibitor and that increases seed yield with increased expression (“an ISY protein”) is disclosed. The plant comprises a modified gene for the ISY protein. The ISY protein comprises one or more of an ISY protein of Camelina sativa comprising SEQ ID NO: 2 or a fragment, Camelina sativa homolog, or ortholog thereof. The modified gene comprises a promoter and a nucleic acid sequence encoding the ISY protein. The promoter is non-cognate with respect to the nucleic acid sequence encoding the ISY protein. The modified gene is configured such that transcription of the nucleic acid sequence is initiated from the promoter and results in expression of the ISY protein. A genetically engineered land plant that expresses an RNA that increases seed yield with increased expression also is disclosed.

  • Publication number: 20210332377
Abstract: Genetically engineered plants that express a quinone-utilizing malate dehydrogenase (MQO) are provided. The plant comprises a modified gene for the quinone-utilizing malate dehydrogenase. The modified gene comprises (i) a promoter and (ii) a nucleic acid sequence encoding the quinone-utilizing malate dehydrogenase. The promoter is non-cognate with respect to the nucleic acid sequence encoding the quinone-utilizing malate dehydrogenase. The modified gene is configured such that transcription of the nucleic acid sequence is initiated from the promoter and results in expression of the quinone-utilizing malate dehydrogenase. The plants can express the quinone-utilizing malate dehydrogenase in mitochondria of cells of the plants. Conversion of malate to oxaloacetate in the mitochondria can be increased, resulting in increased crop performance and/or seed, fruit or tuber yield. Methods and compositions for making the plants also are provided.

  • Publication number: 20210320785
Abstract: Blockchain validation is provided by receiving a first validation request of a blockchain. A hashing algorithm is applied to a first block of the blockchain to generate a first hash value. In response to the first validation request of the blockchain, a first image from a plurality of images is provided on a display device. The first image is selected to be provided for display on the display device based on the first hash value. The first image may be compared to a second image that was provided for display on the display device prior to the first validation request and that image was provided based on a second hash value to determine whether the first image and the second image are substantially similar, which indicates that no changes have been made to the data in the blockchain.

  • Publication number: 20210312463
Abstract: A method for providing an indication of financial strength includes receiving a financial indicator and a predetermined spending budget status from a user. The predetermined spending budget status is associated with a spending budget for the user that has at least one payment account. The financial indicator is then associated with the predetermined spending budget status. A payment request that includes one of the at least one payment accounts is then received from a merchant. A current spending budget status is then determined using the spending budget and the at least one payment account. The financial indicator is then sent to the merchant for provision to the user in response to the current spending budget status being included in the predetermined spending budget status.

  • Publication number: 20210286933
Abstract: Dynamic web content personalization may be used to alter a web page such that two different people who view that web page do not see the exact same content on that page. The present disclosure includes techniques that allow a web page to be structured, via underlying source code, so that content can be dynamically generated based on a user transaction history. Further, dynamic content customization can effectively change the layout and functionality of a web page in ways not previously contemplated. For example, different control elements may become accessible based on a particular contextual user profile assigned to a user based on a transaction history. Modular content modules may also have a different appearance for different users.

  • Publication number: 20210217018
Abstract: Systems and methods for providing risk determination in a crypto currency transaction include receiving, through a network via a broadcast by a first payer device, a first crypto currency transaction that includes a first payee public address. A first request for a determination of risk associated with the first crypto currency transaction is then identified in the first crypto currency transaction, with the first request including risk criteria. A first payee involved in the first crypto currency transaction is then identified using the first payee public address, and first payee risk information is accessed via at least one external risk information database based on the identification of the first payee. If it is determined that the first payee risk information satisfies the at least one risk criteria in the first request, the first crypto currency transaction is provided for addition to a block in a crypto currency public ledger.
