  • Publication number: 20210147863
Abstract: A genetically engineered land plant that expresses a plant CCP1-like mitochondrial transporter protein is provided. The genetically engineered land plant comprises a modified gene for the plant CCP1-like mitochondrial transporter protein. The plant CCP1-like mitochondrial transporter protein is an ortholog of CCP1 of Chlamydomonas reinhardtii of SEQ ID NO: 1 derived from a source land plant. The plant CCP1-like mitochondrial transporter protein is localized to mitochondria of the genetically engineered land plant based on a mitochondrial targeting signal intrinsic to the plant CCP1-like mitochondrial transporter protein. The modified gene comprises (i) a promoter and (ii) a nucleic acid sequence encoding the plant CCP1-like mitochondrial transporter protein. The promoter is non-cognate with respect to the nucleic acid sequence.

  • Publication number: 20210129589
Abstract: A tire includes a pair of axially spaced apart annular bead cores, a carcass ply extending around both bead cores, a tread for engaging a contact surface and being disposed radially outward of the carcass ply, and a belt structure disposed radially between the carcass ply and the tread. The carcass ply includes a plurality of cords embedded in a polymer matrix. The carcass ply has a first radially upper surface and a second radially lower surface disposed opposite the first surface. The first surface defines first portions and second portions interspaced between each first portion. Each first portion has a thickness greater than each second portion thereby forming throated portions between each cord of the plurality of cords.

  • Patent number: 10970459
Abstract: Dynamic web content personalization may be used to alter a web page such that two different people who view that web page do not see the exact same content on that page. The present disclosure includes techniques that allow a web page to be structured, via underlying source code, so that content can be dynamically generated based on a user transaction history. Further, dynamic content customization can effectively change the layout and functionality of a web page in ways not previously contemplated. For example, different control elements may become accessible based on a particular contextual user profile assigned to a user based on a transaction history. Modular content modules may also have a different appearance for different users.

  • Patent number: 10972255
Abstract: Blockchain validation is provided by receiving a first validation request of a blockchain. A hashing algorithm is applied to a first block of the blockchain to generate a first hash value. In response to the first validation request of the blockchain, a first image from a plurality of images is provided on a display device. The first image is selected to be provided for display on the display device based on the first hash value. The first image may be compared to a second image that was provided for display on the display device prior to the first validation request and that image was provided based on a second hash value to determine whether the first image and the second image are substantially similar, which indicates that no changes have been made to the data in the blockchain.

  • Publication number: 20210095860
Abstract: A system for controlling the initiation of a cleaning process for an interior of an appliance may include a detection sensor and a processor in communication with the detection sensor. The detection sensor may be configured to generate detection sensor data based on a sensed condition in a field of detection of the detection sensor which may comprise one or more pre-determined locations. The processor may control the initiation of an appliance cleaning process. The appliance cleaning process may comprise receiving detection sensor data representative of a first time and a second time, generating an initial condition based on the received detection sensor data representative of the first time, and generating a new condition based on the received detection sensor data representative of the second time. The processor may be additionally configured to compare the initial condition and the new condition and determine if cleaning product is present.

  • Publication number: 20210085599
Abstract: Embodiments of the invention involve treating ophthalmology conditions by the topical or oral use of acetylcholinesterase inhibitors. By effectively reducing or eliminating the population of Demodex mites in affected areas and areas where Demodex mites may exist, this treatment achieves a more complete remission of clinical signs and symptoms of the ophthalmological afflictions than any previously described method. Embodiments of the invention are useful for treating ocular afflictions caused by Demodex-induced inflammatory eye conditions, including meibomian gland dysfunction, conjunctivitis, keratoconjunctivitis, hyperemia, blepharitis and dry eye disease.

  • Publication number: 20210081936
Abstract: A dispute resolution cryptocurrency sidechain system includes a system provider that determines that a transaction amount for a transaction has been received at a first public ledger address on a public ledger from a second public ledger address and, in response, allocates a sidechain address on a dispute resolution sidechain ledger. The system provider then sends, through a network to a payer and a payee involved in the transaction, the sidechain address, and monitors the sidechain address for dispute communications. Based on detecting a first dispute communication that is received at the sidechain address and that is signed using a private key that identifies the payer, the system provider device causes a portion of the transaction amount that was received at the first public ledger address to be sent to the second public ledger address.

  • Patent number: 10853811
Abstract: Systems and methods for providing risk determination in a crypto currency transaction include receiving, through a network via a broadcast by a first payer device, a first crypto currency transaction that includes a first payee public address. A first request for a determination of risk associated with the first crypto currency transaction is then identified in the first crypto currency transaction, with the first request including risk criteria. A first payee involved in the first crypto currency transaction is then identified using the first payee public address, and first payee risk information is accessed via at least one external risk information database based on the identification of the first payee. If it is determined that the first payee risk information satisfies the at least one risk criteria in the first request, the first crypto currency transaction is provided for addition to a block in a crypto currency public ledger.

  • Patent number: 10839435
Abstract: A method for receiving a payment includes receiving information for a transaction with a merchant over the network, wherein the transaction includes an incomplete online transaction associated with a user account. A location of a user device that is associated with the user account is then retrieved, and a payment location is determined that is within a predetermined distance of the location of the user device. The payment location is then sent over the network to the user device. The user of the user device may then go to the payment location to provide payment information offline to a payment location device (e.g., by presenting a payment card to the payment location device provider, providing cash, etc.). That payment information is then received over the network from the payment location device and, in response, the online transaction is completed.
