Abstract: A chemical assay system comprises at least one incubator having a plurality of slide receiving chambers each for receiving a chemical assay slide. The chambers are arranged in a row so that the chemical assay slides received in the chambers are arranged in a row in one plane and each chamber is provided with an opening for exposing the chemical assay slide received therein. A probe for projecting light onto the chemical assay slide and measuring the intensity of the light reflected from the chemical assay slide is provided to be movable along the row of the chemical assay slides to positions in front of one of the openings of the slide receiving chambers.

Abstract: This invention relates to an incubator for chemical-analytical slides which are utilized for quantitative analysis of various components in a body fluid such as blood and urine. In an incubator having a cell into which a chemical-analytical slide is inserted and placed, a hole for photometry which is provided to a part of the slide placing-face of the above cell, a sealing member which is pushed to seal the opening for spotting of the slide, a pushing means which pushes the sealing member against the above hole for photometry, and a heating means which heats the slide, the improvement which is characterized in that the sealing member comprises a sealing part made of plastic which covers the opening for spotting and a pushing part being wear resistant which pushes the slide frame of slide.

Abstract: A liquid depositing tip is removably mounted on a tip mounting portion formed on one end of a tip support arm mounted for up-and-down movement. A suction-and-discharge mechanism is operatively connected to the liquid depositing tip by way of the tip support arm to suck sample liquid into the depositing tip and to discharge the sucked sample liquid from the depositing tip onto a chemical assay slide. The quantity of the sample liquid to be sucked into the tip and to be discharged therefrom is controlled by a quantity control mechanism which controls the operation of the suction-and-discharge mechanism.

Abstract: An apparatus for loading analytical slides in a cartridge comprising a tray on which inclined partition members having a width narrower than the width of the analytical slides are provided so as to form a row and a pushing out member which slides on said tray and engages the lower edge of the exposed portion of each analytical slide and push the slides out of said row of partition members into a receiver to stack the analytical slides pushed out from said tray.
