  • Publication number: 20240152969
Abstract: A portable projection turret deployment is provided with a media projection subsystem (MPS). The MPS has a display surface aligned in a vertical plane, as is conventional. At a first time, the MPS display surface is rotated to align in a first horizontal direction, as viewed from a plan (top-down) perspective. Alternatively stated, a horizontal direction is the direction that the MPS display screen faces, or the direction in which the MPS projects visual information. At a second time, the MPS display surface is rotated in a second horizontal direction. The first horizontal direction may be orthogonal to the second horizontal direction. In one aspect, the MPS display surface can be rotated in a plurality of horizontal directions. In another aspect, the MPS display surface can be rotated (spun) in a horizontal circle.

  • Publication number: 20240112221
Abstract: A system and method are provided for mobile center geofencing. A geofencing node receives mobile center unit data communications including mobile center unit locations. The mobile center unit geographic location is positioned on a map, and geofence boundaries are created on the map around the mobile center unit geographic locations. In the case that the mobile center unit is a mobile media unit, capable of selectively projecting media messages, the mobile media unit geographic locations are cross-referenced to media projection information. The mobile center unit data being received may include mobile media unit geographic locations cross-referenced to time. Then, mobile media unit geographic locations may be cross-referenced to the media projection information with respect to the time. If the mobile media unit data receives media message projection selective enablement times, the media message projection enablement times are cross-referenced to mobile media unit geofence boundaries.

  • Publication number: 20230385879
Abstract: A system and method are provided for local network public notification negotiation. A local network includes a plurality of neighborhood media nodes and each neighborhood media node is configured to project a plurality of n media message per a first time period to a general public. The media messages can be public service announcements, such as traffic or weather conditions, or public library hours to name a few examples. An interface associated with the neighborhood media nodes accepts local network program choices including neighborhood media node selections cross-referenced to media message selections. A local arbitrator arranges media messages for each node, resolves local network program choice conflicts, and supplies a local network selection decision to the neighborhood media nodes. The neighborhood media nodes project media messages in response to the local network selection decision. The media nodes can also be enabled to project messages from intra-neighborhood and remote sources.
