  • Publication number: 20210264471
Abstract: A mobile media projector system is provided with a chassis, configured for attachment to a mobile platform, having a screen deployment mechanism. A viewing screen is selectively deployable when the mobile platform is parked in a stationary geographic location. An imaging projector subsystem projects an image onto the deployed viewing screen. Typically, the chassis is configured for attachment to an automotive vehicle with a roof, and the viewing screen is deployed over an exterior surface of the automotive vehicle. The system may include a WLAN and/or WPAN access point. A targeting application may select the geographic location from a group of stationary geographic locations, each having a weighted value. A second mobile media projector system includes a chassis configured for attachment to a roof of an automobile having a side mirror. An image projected onto the side mirror is reflected onto a surface such as the automobile door.

  • Publication number: 20210256560
Abstract: A gig parking system is provided with a mobile platform having a secure access mechanism permitting a trusted parking agent to gain control over the platform. The platform may include a location subsystem to determine the geographic location of the platform and a communications subsystem to transmit verification information including an identification code associated with the parking agent, an identification code associated with the vehicle, and geographic location. A parking software application may permit the selection the destination parking location from a plurality of potential destination parking locations, which may have weighted values with a corresponding reward, and which may be given to either, or both, the platform owner and the parking agent. The reward may be based upon additional factors, such as vehicle starting parking location, distance between starting and destination parking locations, travel time between starting and destination parking locations, time of day, and day of the week.

  • Publication number: 20210248647
Abstract: A portable billboard is presented including a portable media projection subsystem to selectively project media and to supply an enablement signal in response to the media being projected. A location device supplies a geographic location of the media projection subsystem. A verifier receives the enablement signal and the geographic location, and supplies verification information responsive to the media being projected from a stationary location for a predetermined minimum duration of time. A communications subsystem receives verification information and either stores the information for subsequent downloads, or transmits the information to a central controlling server. A targeting subsystem permits an entity to select a target stationary location from a plurality of value weighted target stationary locations. The targeting application typically provides a reward in response to a value of the selected target stationary location.

  • Publication number: 20210201356
Abstract: A public exposure monitored media projection system is presented made up of a media projection subsystem that is configured for attachment to a mobile platform, and which may be selectively enabled. A monitoring subsystem measures public exposure to projected media and supplies exposure measurements. A communications subsystem accepts verification information including media projection subsystem enablement and the exposure measurements. A handicap subsystem offsets the media value associated with the enablement of the media projection subsystem, which is calculated in response to the exposure measurements. Typically, a rewards subsystem provides a reward to an entity (e.g., the media projection subsystem (MPS) owner) in response to the media value offset by the exposure measurement. The system may also include a publically accessible access point, a location subsystem, and a targeting subsystem for selecting a media projection subsystem target geographic location.

  • Publication number: 20210201354
Abstract: A coordinated mobile media projection system is provided using multiple media projection systems (MPSs). Each MPS is attachable to a mobile platform (e.g., automotive vehicle or aircraft). Each MPS is selectively enabled to supply a portion of coordinated media, and includes a location subsystem to determine the geographic location of the MPS. The combination of the MPSs supplies a coordinated media integration or unified message, with a first portion of the coordinated media being linked to a second portion of the coordinated media. Each MPS may include a deployment subsystem to supply an enablement signal in response to either the mobile platform occupying an assigned position or the MPS being enabled. The geographic location determined by the locations subsystem may be a stationary location or a moving location route. The first and second portions of the coordinated media may be identical, sequentially projected, form a billboard, or display related topics.

  • Publication number: 20210065242
Abstract: A mobile locker system is provided having a security mechanism permitting an agent to access the locker parked at a temporary product exchange station, and an exchange mechanism directing the agent to the station location. The agent can be a delivery agent inserting the product into the locker or a receiving agent removing the product from the locker. The locker may be attached to a mobile platform, such as an automotive vehicle. A communications subsystem transmits an identifier associated with the agent accessing the locker, an identifier associated with the locker, and the geographic location of the locker to a server. An ordering mechanism accepts product orders, product exchange station location requests, or both, from a receiving agent, and has an interface to supply the ordered product to a delivery exchange mechanism. A receiving exchange mechanism passes the locker information to the receiving agent.

  • Patent number: 10520317
Abstract: Disclosed herein are systems and methods for the in-situ determination of vehicle wheel position using an inertial measurement unit (IMU). In one aspect as the wheel is rotating, gyroscope measurements are used to find a slip angle defined between the direction of wheel travel and the direction of vehicle travel, to determine a toe alignment condition for the wheel. System and methods are also presented for using an accelerometer to measure slip angle and camber angle. Using an accelerometer or gyroscope, instantaneous wheel angle measurements can also be made to predict vehicle movement, and aid in autonomous steering and in-situ wheel alignment adjustments.

  • Patent number: 9131741
Abstract: System and methods are provided for detecting helmet contact. A first helmet (e.g., an offensive player's helmet) detects an impact, and transmits a signal indicating the detected impact. A second helmet (e.g., a defensive player's helmet) detects the impact and transmits a signal indicating a detected impact. In response to analyzing the signal transmissions of first and second helmets, a monitor determines that a helmet-to-helmet contact has occurred between the first and second helmets. To minimize the occurrence of false positive determinations, especially in the event that multiple helmets detect impacts, the helmets may be enabled to only transmit a signal if the impact exceeds a first impact threshold. Another means of minimizing false positives is for the helmets to transmit a timestamp associated with a time of impact occurrence. Further, helmets may collect and transmit information regarding the proximity of other helmets.

  • Publication number: 20050242966
Abstract: A liquid-surface detection assembly, a vessel-integral overflow detector, and trans-surface field sensor designs are provided. The detection assembly comprises a trans-surface liquid detection field aligned in a horizontal plane, and a detection signal interface to supply a signal responsive to the detection of liquid surface across the liquid detection field. The trans-surface liquid detection field includes a first set of sensors with horizontal plane mounting interfaces, and the detection signal interface supplies a signal responsive to the measurement of electrical resistance between sensors in the first set. Sensor designs and mounting interfaces specifically tailored for use in a trans-surface field are also presented. Grid, sieve, and tube housing designs are presented that minimize incidental contact with sensor electrodes, but that are able to measure the presence of steady-state liquid surface. These designs also permit a detector to be enabled as a single-station.

  • Patent number: 6377811
Abstract: A system and method is provided to permit a mobile phone the options of line-selection and direct station selection (DSS). When the wireless system is interfaced to a land-line system through a limited number of lines, dual-function keys select and capture available outside lines. Other dual-function keys permit other mobile stations in the system to be accessed through a single keystroke. A field of indicators associated with these keys signals the availability of these lines and stations. These line-select/DSS keys are also useable to dial telephone numbers in the traditional method. The virtual line-select concept is also applicable to select land-lines and wireless channels in a group distributed network. Likewise, the virtual DSS function is applicable to monitor and access a select group of mobile stations in the group-distribution system.
