  • Publication number: 20230390675
Abstract: A compensation element, in particular a filter system, that is configured for volume compensation for a freezing medium. The compensation element includes an elongated hollow body with a first end and a second end, at the first end a coupling area being situated which closes the hollow body, and the second end in particular being open, the compensation element having an elastically reversible design in order to return back to the initial state after a deformation from an initial state that has taken place due to ice formation by the medium, and the hollow body having a cross section with a circumferentially closed outer area, and including an inner structure that is situated at an inner circumference of the outer area.

  • Publication number: 20060060673
Abstract: An injection nozzle for internal combustion engines is proposed, having a nozzle needle 7 and a second nozzle needle 27; the first nozzle needle 7 and the second nozzle needle 27 can be triggered independently of one another. The second injection nozzle is opened by lowering the pressure of a hydraulic fluid in a control chamber 37. By this means, the injection quantity per unit of time and the atomization of the fuel in the combustion chamber can be varied over wide ranges, and moreover a shaping of the injection course can be performed.

  • Patent number: 6901915
Abstract: The fuel injection system has one high-pressure fuel pump and one fuel injection valve for each cylinder of the engine. The fuel injection valve has a first hollow injection valve member and a second valve member guided displaceably, inside the first valve member for controlling first and second opening(s), respectively into the associated engine cylinder. The second valve member is movable by the pressure prevailing in a pressure chamber in an opening direction counter to a closing force and is acted upon at least indirectly by the pressure prevailing in a fuel-filled control chamber, which pressure is controllable as a function of operating parameters of the engine such that the second injection valve member, by means of the pressure prevailing in the control chamber, can be blocked, independently of an opening motion of the first injection valve member in a position that closes the at least one second injection opening.

  • Patent number: 6874704
Abstract: A fuel injection valve for internal combustion engines having a valve body in which a bore is embodied, a valve seat face, at least one injection opening embodied on the end toward the combustion chamber of the bore, and at least one injection opening connecting the bore with the combustion chamber of the engine. A nozzle needle is longitudinally displaceably guided in the bore and on its end toward the combustion chamber it has a sealing face, which cooperates with the valve seat face and thus controls the at least one injection opening. The nozzle needle has a central longitudinal bore, in which an inner needle is disposed that is fixed immovably relative to the valve body. The nozzle needle is guided over at least part of its length on the inner needle, so that the nozzle needle is kept exactly centrally in the bore at all times.

  • Patent number: 6691935
Abstract: In an injection nozzle for a fuel injection system, the opening stroke of the nozzle needle is to be limited selectively, so that different injection cross sections can be employed. To that end, the injection nozzle is provided with a nozzle body, a nozzle needle displaceable in the nozzle body, two groups of injection ports, which are uncovered as a function of an opening stroke of the nozzle needle, a piston that is connected to the nozzle needle, a stop chamber in which the piston is disposed and which is provided with an outlet, and a control valve that can open and close the outlet of the stop chamber, as a result of which the stroke of the piston in the stop chamber and thus the opening stroke of the nozzle needle can be selectively limited.

  • Patent number: 6290299
Abstract: An arrangement for coupling the vertical position of a headrest assigned to a backrest of a motor vehicle seat with the withdrawal and retraction movement of a seat belt system with a belt retractor. When the seat belt is put on by a vehicle occupant sitting in the vehicle seat, the withdrawal movement of the belt strap is transformed into a movement of the headrest from a lower inoperative position into an upwardly displaced operative position. When the seat belt is taken off, the retraction movement of the belt strap is transformed into an opposite movement of the headrest back into the inoperative position. The arrangement comprises a locking unit for fixing the headrest can be fixed in its operative position. Starting from its operative position, the headrest can be vertically displaced with respect to the backrest and can be locked in the respective adjusted position.

  • Patent number: 5095930
Abstract: A distributor tube has tube slots in its shell surface transversely of the inflow direction of a fluid into the distributor tube. A casing tube is enclosed by the distributor tube and is divided into flow chambers, each of which is bounded by two annular plates and connected to an inlet sector. A star-shaped volume flow divider is located on the inlet side of the distributor tube as a tube insert, which divides the introduced mass flow rate into partial flow rates for the flow chambers. In another embodiment, the distributor tube encloses a rotationally symmetric pressure distributor, whereby the fluid within the distributor tube encounters equal pressure in the radial and axial flow directions over the inlet length of the distributor tube.
