  • Publication number: 20140209650
Abstract: A bracket is used to mount an accessory bag to a curved vehicle windshield, providing a planar bag mounting surface to prevent distortion of the bag. Angularly arranged planar surfaces of the bracket allow for mounting to windshields of varying curvatures. A mounting assembly including the bracket enables the bag to be secured to the windshield in a variety of configurations and locations on the windshield.

  • Publication number: 20140182829
Abstract: A tube assembly for use in a heat exchanger includes a flat section with broad and flat opposing tube sides. Fin structures are bonded to the broad and flat tube sides in the flat section, and side sheets are bonded to the opposite ends of the fin structures. The flat section of the tube is located between cylindrical end sections adapted to be inserted into grommets. The construction of the tube assembly provides a stiff structure to survive insertion and removal of tube assemblies to and from a heat exchanger, for example, a radiator for heavy duty equipment.

  • Publication number: 20140041227
Abstract: A tube assembly for use in a heat exchanger is made by arranging a first corrugated fin structure between one broad, flat side of a tube and a side sheet, and arranging a second corrugated fin between another broad and flat side of a tube and another side sheet. Compressive forces are applied to the opposite faces of the side sheets to place crests and troughs of the corrugated fin structures into contact with the side sheets and the broad, flat sides, and the assembly is brazed.

  • Patent number: 8613723
Abstract: A heat exchanger has a multi-lumen tubing having one end connected to a supply fitting and another end connected to a return fitting. The tubing has a central lumen, a middle lumen that surrounds the central lumen and an outer lumen that surrounds the middle lumen. When infusate traverses along the heat exchanger, it is heated by the heating fluid that flows along the central lumen, and also by the rerouted heating fluid that flows along the outer lumen of the tubing. The heat exchanger is fluidly coupled to a heater by its inlet and outlet so that the temperature of the heating fluid for warming the infusate is maintained at a predetermined temperature.

  • Publication number: 20130086327
Abstract: An automatic caching system is described herein that automatically determines user-relevant points at which to incrementally cache expensive to obtain data, resulting in faster computation of dependent results. The system can intelligently choose between caching data locally and pushing computation to a remote location collocated with the data, resulting in faster computation of results. The automatic caching system uses stable keys to uniquely refer to programmatic identifiers. The system annotates programs before execution with additional code that utilizes the keys to associate and cache intermediate programmatic results. The system can maintain the cache in a separate process or even on a separate machine to allow cached results to outlive program execution and allow subsequent execution to utilize previously computed results. Cost estimations are performed in order to choose whether utilizing cached values or remote execution would result in a faster computation of a result.

  • Patent number: 8317849
Abstract: An underbody convective warming blanket that may be used by a pediatric or neonate patient includes a head portion configured with multiple substantially U-shaped channels each having a plurality of adjacent rows of apertures that circumscribe the head of the patient positioned on the blanket. The adjacent rows of apertures are configured on the upper layer of the blanket so as to be positioned at an orientation or angle relative to the base plane of the blanket or the head of the patient such that those apertures would substantially face the head of the patient when the blanket is inflated, so that the heated air output from the apertures is directed substantially towards the head of the patient to thereby effect an invisible dome of heated air that envelopes the head of the patient.

  • Publication number: 20120030103
Abstract: Improved systems and techniques for submission and verification of redemption codes are disclosed. It will be appreciated that the submission and verification techniques can, among other things, automate the submission and verification of redemption codes for various redeemable instruments, including transaction cards (e.g., gift or prepaid cards) widely used for online transactions (e.g., purchase of media items from an online media store). A redemption code can be determined based on an image of a redeemable instrument. More particularly, an image of a redeemable instrument can be processed using image analysis or one or more image processing techniques to extract a redemption code for the redeemable instrument. By way of example, an image (e.g., a digital picture) of a gift card can be processed by a device to extract an alphanumeric value printed on the gift card. This means that the alphanumeric value need not be entered manually by a person seeking to redeem the redeemable instrument (e.g., gift card).
