  • Publication number: 20030003027
Abstract: The invention relates to a microdosing device for the defined delivery of small self-contained liquid volumes. The aim of the invention is to provide a cost-effective microdosing device (m) which enables a defined delivery of small self-contained liquid volumes with liquid volumes that can be freely selected from part by volume to part by volume in a relatively large range without, as a result, influencing the dwell time of the dispenser that moves in relation to the settling area. To this end, the invention provides that a supporting body (1) comprises at least one first channel (2) which is connected to a pressurization means (d) that permits the channel (2) to be pressurized with a variably predeterminable pneumatic pressure pulse.

  • Patent number: 5724855
Abstract: A transmission gear for use with systems for cleaning windscreens, window-panes or optical instruments, comprising a wiper arm supported by a carriage performing reciprocating movements, and a gear for transforming rotary movements into oscillating movements, which cooperates with a driving means and actuates the carriage, with the gear, on the driven side, being connected to a shaft performing oscillating movements.

  • Patent number: 5713098
Abstract: A system for cleaning light transmitting elements such as windscreens, window-panes or optical instruments, comprising a wiper arm supported by a carriage performing reciprocating movements, and a intermediate gear means for transforming rotary movements into oscillating movements, with the intermediate gear means cooperating with a driving means and actuating the carriage and, on the driven side, being in communication with a shaft performing oscillating movements. The shaft is the driving part of a transmission gear means for oscillating movements. The part of the transmission gear means performing movements on the driven side actuates the carriage through a tensile and/or thrust member.

  • Patent number: 4696108
Abstract: The invention is directed to a pruning apparatus having a drive motor which is mounted on a carrier adapted for mounting on the back of an operator. The drive motor is connected with a rotating cutting tool by means of a flexible shaft. The flexible shaft includes an output member and a drive member. The output member is connected to a drive motor and is contained in a connecting tube. The output member is connected via a coupling unit to the drive member which is disposed in a guide tube. The guide tube carries the rotating cutting tool which produces a smooth cut so that the formation of fungus at the cut is completely eliminated. A cover plate is affixed to the guide tube so as to be adjacent to the cutting tool and has an outer diameter smaller than the cutting circle defined by the tip of the rotating cutting tool. While operating the apparatus, the stationary cover plate, unlike the rotating cutting tool, remains clearly visible thereby facilitating a precise cutting operation.

  • Patent number: 4651127
Abstract: The prompting device for safety belts in a motor vehicle comprises a sensor for sensing battery voltage drop during actuation of a starter of the motor vehicle. The sensed voltage drop is converted into a binary signal which is stored in a storing device. After termination of the starting process when the engine is running and driving a loading generator, the stored binary signal activates via a timing switch an optical and/or acoustical indicator prompting the user of the vehicle to fasten the seat belts.

  • Patent number: 4619045
Abstract: The invention is directed to a hedge trimmer having a pair of elongated cutters journalled for reciprocal movement. The two movable cutters are journalled on a guide bar so as to be movable in the longitudinal direction thereof and include cutting teeth which extend transversely to the direction of movement. Protective teeth are arranged with respect to the guide bar and are arranged next to the cutting teeth so as to be parallel thereto. The protective teeth are configured to be so long that the free end portions thereof project outwardly beyond the outer edges of the cutting teeth.

  • Patent number: 4529795
Abstract: During the recovery of the unreacted propylene from the mother liquor obtained in the polymerization of liquid propylene, the major part of the propylene is evaporated in a first evaporation step at a low temperature and the remaining part is evaporated in a second evaporator at a high temperature. In this way an early agglomerization of the atactic and/or low-molecular weight polymer dissolved in the mother liquor and fouling of the heat exchanger tubes and/or of the column trays is avoided.
