    Abstract: A sintered article of diamond is obtained by coating the surface of diamond particles with 30 to 0.1% by volume, based on the total volume of the diamond particles and aids, of at least one member selected from the group consisting of the transition metals of Groups 4a, 5a, and 6a in the Periodic Table of Elements and boron and silicon, and sintering the coated diamond particles under conditions of high pressure and high temperature, which sintered article consists of 70 to 99.8% by volume of diamond and 30 to 0.2% by volume of the carbide of the coating substance. A method for the production of the sintered article of diamond is also disclosed.

    Abstract: An apparatus for packaging semiconductor devices includes a die bonder, a wire bonder, and a molding unit wherein the die bonder, the wire bonder, and the molding unit are sequentially arranged for operation in an uninterrupted continuous sequence. To prevent semiconductor dies from being contaminated by the dust generated by the molding unit, the die bonder and wire bonder are covered by an air cleaner chamber including an air filter and air ventilator. Alternatively, the molding unit is covered by an air draft chamber including an air supply nozzle and an exhaust pipe which exhausts the dust generated by the molding unit.

    Abstract: A polymer having an isoindole structure represented by the following general formula: ##STR1##wherein R.sup.1, R.sup.2 and R.sup.3 independently represent a hydrogen atom or a hydrocarbon group having 1 to 5 carbon atoms, X.sup.- represents an anion of an electrolyte, y is a number of from 0.01 to 1, which indicates the proportion of the anion to 1 mole of the monomer, and n is a number of from 5 to 500, which indicates the degree of polymerization,shows a high electroconductivity when doped, and the stability of the polymer in the oxidized state is high. This polymer is obtained by subjecting an isoindole compound represented by the following general formula: ##STR2## wherein R.sup.1, R.sup.2 and R.sup.3 are as defined above, to (1) electrochemical polymerization in the presence of an electrolyte in a solvent or (2) oxidative polymerization in a solvent by the action of an oxidant.

    Abstract: An adhesive bandage used personally to cover a minor injury on a human body, especially on a finger or a toe thereof, comprises a bandage proper having an adhesive inside, a pad fixed to a substantially central portion of the inside of the bandage proper, and a protective paper having opposed end portions removably attached to the inside of the bandage proper. The protective paper has a central, greater part folded flatwise. The central greater part of the protective paper can be unfolded and has a sufficient length to provide, together with the bandage proper, an ample space through which a finger or a toe with a minor injury to be covered can be inserted, when the central greater part is unfolded.
