Abstract: The present invention relates to a functional substance-releasing agent containing a silicic acid ester compound represented by formula (1) below, a process for producing the functional substance-releasing agent, and a composition containing the functional substance-releasing agent. wherein R1 represents a residue of an alcohol which results from removal of one hydroxyl group therefrom, the alcohol being selected from a functional alcohol having a log P value of 2.0 or less and an alcohol having a log P value of 2.1 or more, a plurality of R1s may be the same or different, provided that the silicic acid ester compound has, in one molecule, at least one residue resulting from removal of one hydroxyl group from a functional alcohol having a log P value of 2.0 or less and at least one residue resulting from removal of one hydroxyl group from an alcohol having a log P value of 2.1 or more.

Abstract: An assembling structure for a vehicle seat includes: an assembly frame having a frame shape and configured to be detachably attached to a seat main body of the vehicle seat, the seat main body having a backbone frame having a frame shape; a planar elastic body configured to elastically support a body of an occupant and is stretched on the assembly frame; an elastic latching unit configured to be detachably attached to a part of the backbone frame, the elastic latching unit formed on a part of a periphery of the assembly frame, wherein the assembly frame further includes a hook portion, the backbone frame further includes a portion to be hooked, and the planar elastic body is prevented from moving in an out-of-plane direction of the planar elastic body when the hook portion of the assembly frame is hooked on the portion to be hooked of the backbone frame.

Abstract: Provided is a hair dye composition to be used as a mixture of a first part containing an alkali agent and a second part containing an oxidizing agent, wherein the composition comprises (a) a triazacyclononane compound (1) or salt thereof, (b) 0.1 to 12 wt. %, in terms of hydrogen peroxide, of an oxidizing agent, and (c) 0.05 to 10 wt. % of an alkali agent, and the mixture has a pH of from 7.5 to 12. (R1 to R4: H or C1-6 alkyl which may be substituted by OH, R5 to R7: H, (substituted) C1-6 alkyl, (substituted) aralkyl, (substituted) heteroarylalkyl, (substituted) aryl, (substituted) heteroaryl, (substituted) C1-6 acyl, or a group (2) (in which R8 to R12 represents H, C1-6 alkyl, aralkyl or aryl and n stands for 2 to 30). The hair dye composition of the present invention has excellent hair bleaching power, can dye the hair into a bright favorable color tone, and moreover has less hair damage and less scalp irritation.

Abstract: There is disclosed a coating composition comprising a binder component consisting of (A′) hydroxyl group-containing polyester resin having a number average molecular weight of 2,000-20,000, glass transition temperature of −40° C. to 30° C. and hydroxyl value of 5-95 mgKOH/g, (B) blocked polyisocyanate compound blocked with &egr;-caprolactam, and the equivalent ratio of the blocked isocyanate groups in said blocked polyisocyanate compound (B)/the hydroxyl groups in said polyester resin (A) being in the range of 0.7-1.2, and 0.5-30 parts by weight of said resin fine particles (C) with an average particle diameter of 8-70 &mgr;m, which do not completely melt at the time of coating film curing, per 100 parts by weight of said binder component. Said coating composition can form a coating film having excellent popping resistance. hardness, processibility, anti-tackiness, blocking resistance and curability by a high temperature short time baking.

Abstract: A holder for small articles of the invention is provided in a ceiling of an automobile. The holder is formed of a frame member fixed to the ceiling in a cabin of the automobile, and a movable member including a rotating shaft pivotally attached to the frame member, a lid portion for opening and closing an opening of the frame member, and a case portion provided at a rear side of the lid portion. When the lid portion is opened, an opening of the case portion is exposed in the cabin. A stopper projection is formed at a back portion of the case portion and has a projecting edge for defining an open position of the lid portion by engaging the frame member. The projecting edge is located on an imaginary circumferential line having a radius substantially equal to a length from a center of the rotating shaft to the opening edge of the lid portion.

Abstract: A method for filling a liquid crystal (LC) cell with liquid crystal comprises the step of placing the LC cell having a LC cavity therein and LC inlet openings in its top and bottom edges, in a vacuum chamber which encloses upper and lower LC supply members each having a LC-impregnated yarn exposed through a slot therein. The method includes the steps of evacuating the vacuum chamber, moving the LC supply members to bring the yarns into contact with the top and bottom inlet openings of the cell, and returning the chamber to an atmospheric pressure to thereby cause liquid crystal to be sucked into the LC cavity through the inlet openings. Apparatus for filling a LC cell with liquid crystal is also provided.
