  • Publication number: 20020050504
Abstract: A method of forming a scribe line on a work surface is carried out by a scribing apparatus comprising a scribe body including an abutment member, such as cutter provided with an penetrator, having at least first and second ridgelines and a sharp tip end portion and a vibration generating member for periodically applying vibrations to the abutment member. A vibration is applied to the abutment member with the tip end portion thereof abutting against the work surface, and the scribe body is relatively moved along the work surface to thereby form a scribe line on the work surface. In this scribing method, a first angle constituted by the first ridgeline of the abutment member and the work surface and a second angle constituted by the second ridgeline thereof and the work surface are made different from each other and the first and second ridgelines are opposed in the moving direction of the scribe body.

  • Patent number: 6164022
Abstract: A three-dimensional guiding apparatus is installed between the ground and a structure for preventing vibrations of the ground from being transmitted to the structure as much as possible. The three-dimensional guiding apparatus has a first curved guiding apparatus (21) mounted on a base (23), a second curved guiding apparatus (22) having a plane of movement which crosses the plane of movement of the first curved guiding apparatus (21), and an intermediate member (24) interconnecting the first curved guiding apparatus (21) and the second curved guiding apparatus (22). Each of the first and second curved guiding apparatus (21, 22) comprises a track rail (1) having a plurality of rolling element rolling grooves, a bearing block (10) having a plurality of rolling element rolling grooves and non-loading rolling element rolling passages, and a number of balls (9) for bearing loads between the rolling element rolling grooves in the track rail (1) and the rolling element rolling grooves in the bearing block (10).

  • Patent number: 6053062
Abstract: A linear motion apparatus comprises a linear track rail having a roller running groove; a feeding threaded shaft rotatably arranged in parallel with the track rail; and a movable block arranged on the track rail through rollers, and provided with a nut portion having a threaded bore into which the feeding threaded shaft is to be screwed. The movable block comprises (i) a block body having a roller running counter-groove which faces on the roller running groove of the track rail and a roller returning passage and (ii) direction changing passage forming members respectively provided on both ends of the block body, each of which members forms a U-shaped direction changing passage connecting the roller running counter-groove and the roller returning passage to each other. The movable block is linearly moved on the track rail through the rollers by rotating the feeding threaded shaft.

  • Patent number: 4973103
Abstract: A rear body structure of an automotive vehicle includes a roof side rail disposed at an upper end of the body structure and extends longitudinally in a vehicle body. A belt line reinforcement is located downward of and extending substantially parallel with the roof side rail. A center pillar structure extends in up and down directions and is attached to the roof side rail at an upper end and to the belt line reinforcement intermediate of the upper end and a lower end of the center pillar structure. A rear pillar structure extending in the up and down directions is located rearward of the center pillar structure and attached to the roof side rail at an upper end and to the belt line reinforcement intermediate of the upper end and to a lower end of the rear pillar structure.
