  • Patent number: 8704420
Abstract: Disclosed is a stator for an electric machine. The stator is provided with a stator core, and first and second series of coils each formed into a predetermined shape. Each of the coils in the first series is provided with a pair of first coil ends which respectively protrude from both end faces of the stator core. Each of the first coil ends is provided with a pair of bent portions which extend outward in the radial direction of the stator, and a bridge portion which connects the bent portions. Each second coil end is provided with a pair of upright portions and a bridge portion which connects the upright portions. The bridge portions of the coils in the first series are disposed outside the bridge portions of the coils in the second series in the radial direction of the stator. The bridge portion of each of the coils in the second series extends across the bent portions of two adjacent coils in the first series.

  • Patent number: 8606132
Abstract: Provided is an image forming apparatus in which one of developing units that respectively contain visible toners of black, yellow, magenta, and cyan other than the developing unit that contains the visible toner of black is replaced by a developing unit that contains a transparent fluorescent toner. Consequently, a document image can be expressed by the visible toner of black and a designated color which falls within a color reproduction range determined by two of the visible toners of yellow, magenta, and cyan, and an additional pattern which is an additional information image for preventing falsification and forgery can be printed on the document image with the use of the transparent fluorescent toner.

  • Publication number: 20130305007
Abstract: A memory management method includes extracting a physical address in which an error has been detected from a conversion table. The memory management method includes extracting, when a physical address that indicates a storage area that stores therein information that is to be deleted due to the occurrence of the detected error is acquired from the information processing apparatus, the memory address associated with the acquired physical address from the conversion table, performed by the memory management device. The memory management method includes updating the conversion table such that the extracted memory address is associated in the conversion table with the extracted physical address, performed by the memory management device. The memory management method includes moving the information stored in the storage area indicated by the extracted physical address to the storage area indicated by the extracted memory address.

  • Patent number: 8489845
Abstract: A pool, which is configured by multiple actual areas, is formed on the basis of two or more storage devices. A second storage control apparatus (DKC) determines, for each storage device, an unused capacity to be given to a first DKC with respect to each first DKC based on an unused capacity of each storage device and a request value of each storage device for each first DKC, and gives, for each first DKC, the unused capacity for each storage device determined with respect to the first DKC, to this first DKC. The request value of the storage device is based on a performance value, which is a value related to the performance of this storage device. The total capacity of multiple actual areas allocated to the virtual volumes by the first DKC is equal to or less than the unused capacity given with respect to each storage device.

  • Publication number: 20120173813
Abstract: A first storage control apparatus unit has a first logical volume. A second storage control apparatus unit has a second logical volume, which is a virtual logical volume and is mapped to the first logical volume, and a third logical volume that is associated with the first logical volume. The second storage control apparatus unit receives, from a host, an I/O command which has information including, as information denoting an I/O-destination area, an ID of the second logical volume and an address of an area of the second logical volume. The second storage control apparatus unit identifies a logical volume having an area that serves as an entity of the I/O-destination area, and a storage control apparatus unit that has this logical volume.
