  • Patent number: 8546058
Abstract: A method for forming an electrostatic latent image developing toner including mixing in a stirring tank a resin particle dispersion with at least a colorant particle dispersion prepared by dispersing a colorant and in some cases with a release agent particle dispersion prepared by dispersing a release agent; aggregating in the stirring tank the resin particles with the pigment particles and the release agent particles to form aggregate particles; and then conducting heating in the stirring tank to fuse the aggregate particles, wherein the method further comprises during a fusion step, suppressing with an accumulation suppression unit accumulation of aggregate particles. The accumulation suppression unit is a magnetic field forming unit that forms a magnetic field either continuously or intermittently. The toner has an average sphericity of at least 0.94 but no more than 0.98 and particle characteristics as defined in the specification.

  • Patent number: 8158079
Abstract: Provided is a panel (3) for analysis having a chamber inside for transferring a sample liquid dispensed as a drop on an injection port (14). The injection port (14) is formed to protrude in a direction away from the chamber, a recessed section (12) is formed around the injection port (14), and the injection port (14) is arranged on the side of a rotating axis center (11) of a holding member (101) for the panel for analysis in an analyzer. Thus, even when a sample liquid is adhered around the injection port, contamination and shortage of the sample liquid can be prevented.

  • Publication number: 20100155228
Abstract: A sputtering apparatus includes a rotatable rotary member to which a target is attached, connection terminals, and feeding terminals. The connection terminals are arranged on the end portion of the rotary member in a direction along the axis of rotation of the rotary member, and are electrically connected to the target. The feeding terminals supply electric power to the target via the connection terminals. When the rotary member is rotated while the feeding terminals are in contact with the end portion of the rotary member, the electrical connection or insulation state between the feeding terminals and connection terminals is switched.
