  • Publication number: 20070169559
Abstract: A pressure sensor can be mounted to an object with a pressure to be measured by a mounting structure. The mounting structure includes bonding a first member and a second member, a medium passageway formed on one of the bonding face thereof, a flexible printed wiring board interposed between both bonding faces through gaskets, and a pressure sensor element electrically connected to the flexible printed wiring board by an electrically conductive member so that the sensor element electrically connects to the outside of the object. The pressure sensor element is disposed in a recess that is formed on the bonding face. The presser medium is transferred through an introduction hole from the medium passageway to the pressure sensor element.

  • Patent number: 7219031
Abstract: There are basically two types of rumble strips: shoulder/center rumble strips and in-lane rumble strips. In an embodiment of the invention, there is a device that automatically identifies the type of rumble strip with which a vehicle tire is in contact with. The device may include a processor adapted to receive input indicative of a state of rotation of a first vehicle tire and input indicative of a state of rotation of a second vehicle tire when one or more of the first vehicle tire and the second vehicle tire is in contact with a rumble strip. The processor includes logic to compare the state of rotation of the first vehicle tire to the state of rotation of the second vehicle tire, and determine from the comparison, the type of rumble strip in contact with at least one of the first vehicle tire and the second vehicle tire.

  • Patent number: 7203673
Abstract: A document collection apparatus collects a document for a community from a network. Before starting the collection, an initial document group is given as a starting point of the collection. A reference extraction unit extracts a reference from the initial document group. A next prospect determination unit determines a prospect which is a prospective document to be collected next. A document collection unit collects the prospect to be collected next, and adds it to the collected documents. The document collection unit first collects documents evenly from inside the community in the network, and then the next prospect determination unit determines the prospect to be collected next from inside and outside the community.

  • Patent number: 7176486
Abstract: A structure of test element group wiring includes, in addition to an electrode on a substrate including one or more layers of insulating films, and real wirings electrically connected to the electrode, includes dummy wirings electrically isolated from the electrode and having a portion of the same shape as the real wiring. The dummy wirings are disposed at a predetermined constant distance, adjacent to the real wirings or to each other, so that the wiring rate of the real wiring relaxes the concentration difference of patterns. The distance between the real wirings is sufficient to perform pattern analysis using the OBIRCH method.

  • Publication number: 20060224293
Abstract: A device adapted to automatically control the effective output of a vehicle control system/component that, for example, automatically applies braking and/or steering control, in response to tire contact with a rumble strip. The device includes a processor configured to receive a first signal indicative of contact of a vehicle tire with a rumble strip. The processor also includes logic to determine that at least one vehicle tire is in contact with a rumble strip based at least on the first signal. If the processor has received the first signal and has determined that the at least one vehicle tire is in contact with the rumble strip, the processor then issues a command to control the effective output of at least one of a vehicle control component or a vehicle control system. For example, an automatically applied braking force may be reduced to ½ its normal applied force.
