Abstract: A structure of test element group wiring includes, in addition to an electrode on a substrate including one or more layers of insulating films, and real wirings electrically connected to the electrode, includes dummy wirings electrically isolated from the electrode and having a portion of the same shape as the real wiring. The dummy wirings are disposed at a predetermined constant distance adjacent to the real wirings or to each other, so that the wiring rate of the real wiring relaxes the concentration difference of patterns. The distance between the real wirings is sufficient to perform pattern analysis using the OBIRCH method.

Abstract: Metadata related to a plurality of persons is extracted from among electronic data that include information about the persons. The metadata extracted is linked based on a co-occurrence of the information about the persons in the electronic data. Relationship between the persons is displayed graphically based on the metadata linked.

Abstract: A method and apparatus for identifying coherent areas within a Web page. First, a Web page is parsed into an HTML DOM tree and an HTML tag token stream. Next, repeated-patterns are induced from the Web page. After filtering out improper repeated-patterns and generating corresponding instances of the repeated-patterns, the repeated-patterns are mapped back to corresponding regions in the Web page. Based on the mappings, a hierarchical RST tree containing information blocks is generated. Information items within the information blocks are detected then used to generate a hierarchical structural information block tree. Information blocks from the structural information block tree are then classified into text information blocks and link information blocks. Based on the classification and block semantic similarity, the bocks are clustered then grouped into semantic information blocks. The semantic information blocks contain main text information blocks and related link blocks which, if necessary, can be labeled.

A document group analysis device analyzes a group of documents contained in each set of documents corresponding to each message board in the document group database. A summation device generates a meta-index, a thread index, and an indexed file. A display device displays a group of documents in a display format of a keyword view, a thread view, or an author view using a meta-index and a thread index.

Abstract: A Web regional information retrieval apparatus 10 retrieves a Web page which is information in the Worldwide Web (WWW), and includes a collecting unit 11, a regional meta-data extraction unit 12, and a region information retrieval unit 14. The collecting unit 11 collects a Web page from the WWW. The regional meta-data extraction unit 12 extracts regional meta-data indicating the region relating to the collected Web page, and assigns the data to the Web page. The region information retrieval unit 14 receives location information indicating the location of the terminal 20 from the terminal 20, retrieves a Web page assigned the regional meta-data related to the location information from the WWW, and transmits the retrieval result to the terminal 20.

Abstract: Provided is a semiconductor reliability evaluating apparatus for evaluating an electro-migration characteristic of a wiring layer which is capable of being formed simply and in a low cost using a reticle set, having a minimum number of reticles, which is capable of measuring an ordinary via plug resistance where the number of wiring layer is two. A first wiring layer and a second wiring layer are configured so that the first wiring layer is connected to the second wiring layer with a plurality of via plugs formed in an insulating layer which is placed between the first wiring layer and the second wiring layer, the first wiring layer and the second wiring layer are made of metals having almost same specific resistances, and each different parasitic resistances are put to at least one of the first wiring layer and the second wiring layer connected to each of the plurality of via plugs to make the total resistance value of the current path through each of the plurality of via plugs different.

Abstract: To provide an optical fiber strain sensor device and a strain detection method, for measuring precisely AE and for detecting effectively a rapid strain change due to a shock load, an optical fiber strain sensor device includes an FBG sensor mounted on an object to be measured, a broadband light source for directing a broadband wavelength light ray to the FBG sensor, and an FBG filter that reflects or transmits a light ray reflected from the FBG sensor, and, using the FBG filter, the optical fiber strain sensor device processes and detects a change in the center wavelength of the light ray that has been incident from the broadband light source and then has been reflected from the FBG sensor.

In this way, a problem that the popularity degree always increases and never decreases can be solved and, simultaneously, information indicating how the popularity of a document changes as time elapses can be obtained.

Abstract: A semiconductor device including: a semiconductor substrate, and an interconnect made of a titanium silicide film overlying the semiconductor substrate, the titanium silicide film including at least one atom selected from the group consisting of phosphorus, arsenic and antimony at an average density between 5×1019 and 3×1020 atoms/cm3. Although the titanium silicide film is conventionally recognized to cause depletion of an underlying polysilicon and increase of a connected-polysilicon-plug resistance, these deficiencies can be suppressed by specifying the average density.

A date is extracted by performing a pattern matching for a predetermined date expression. A unit of counting a frequency can be a year, month, day-of-week, or day. The visual information can be displayed by changing a color, brightness, and size of symbols or graphics depending on an intensity level obtained by normalizing a frequency. The distribution of date information contained in a plurality of electronic documents in a given unit of time can be easily obtained through a visual expression.

Abstract: In a method of manufacturing a semiconductor device having a first conductive layer of a first conductive type and a second conductive layer of a second conductive type opposite to the first conductive type, an intermediate layer of a predetermined element selected from the group V is formed on the first and second conductive layers to a preselected thickness of several atomic layers. Next, a metal film is deposited on the intermediate film. The intermediate layer is absorbed in the metal film and vanishes during the deposition of the metal film. The metal film may be formed of tungsten or molybdenum, while the thickness of the intermediate layer may be equal to one or two atomic layers.

Abstract: A user inputs to a document retrieving apparatus a retrieval string whose priority level is represented by using multiple of highlight levels, such as a degree of a font size and the like. A document retrieving apparatus retrieves a document including the retrieval string from a database and displays the retrieval string included in the retrieval result on a screen at the same highlight level as that at a time of inputting. In this way, the strings having different priority levels within the document are displayed at highlight levels different from each other. It is possible to specify a new retrieval string within the document of the retrieval result to thereby carry out a re-retrieval.

Abstract: A gate oxide film is formed on an element region at the surface of a silicon substrate. A polycrystalline silicon film doped with a large amount of phosphorus is formed on the gate oxide by the CVD method. A titanium nitride layer with about 10 nm thickness is deposited on the polycrystalline film by the sputtering method. Further, a titanium silicide thin film with a 100 nm thickness is deposited on the titanium nitride layer. Furthermore, a silicon layer with about 50 nm thickness is formed on the titanium silicide thin film. Accordingly, a gate electrode is provided.
