  • Patent number: 5515849
Abstract: A diagnostic ultrasound apparatus includes a displacement image data frame memory for storing, frame by frame, two-dimensional ultrasound image data of a living body to be observed; displacement image data sampling section for sampling displacement image data which is obtained by comparing two-dimensional ultrasound image data of a newest frame with the two-dimensional ultrasound image data of any one of the previous frames stored in the displacement image data frame memory, the displacement image data representing displacement in the living body between the compared frames; displacement hysteresis image forming section for forming displacement hysteresis image data which represents changes between the thus-formed plural displacement image data by sequentially combining the plural displacement image data with the lapse of time; and a display monitor for displaying a displacement hysteresis image on the basis of thus-produced displacement hysteresis image data.

  • Patent number: 5024141
Abstract: Either a reciprocating or a stationary part in each of juxtaposed cylinder devices is provided with a scale having alternate projections and depressions which are arranged with regular pitches in a direction of reciprocation of the reciprocating part, while the other part is provided with a sensor engaging the scale for determining whether it is a projection or depression of the scale that the sensor engages at a particular point of time, and producing a pulse whenever it falls in any of the depressions. According to one preferred embodiment, the projections and the depessions of the scale of one of the cylinder devices are staggered relative to those of the scale of the other cylinder device by half a pitch. Thus, when the two cylinder devices are in synchronous operation, the sensors of the cylinder devices produce alternate pulses which do not overlap with each other in the time of occurrence.

  • Patent number: 4997065
Abstract: A mechanism for automatically preventing a motor vehicle from dropping from a wheels support plate of a lifting apparatus of a system for lifting the vehicle for repair thereof comprises (i) a barrier wall connected to one end portion of the support plate along a width direction thereof for pivotal movement between a vertical position and a horizontal position which is on the support plate, (b) positioner for maintaining the barrier wall in the vertical position when the support plate is not in a lowest position, so that if a motor vehicle driven onto the support plate from a direction opposite to said one end portion of the support plate and supported thereon should accidentally move forward, the barrier wall engages a front wheel of the vehicle to prevent the vehicle from dropping from said one end portion of the support plate, and (c) leveler which brings the barrier wall down to the horizontal position when the support plate has been moved to a lowest position.

  • Patent number: 4909357
Abstract: A safety device for a jacking system comprising a plurality of jacks which are designed for simultaneous operation, at least one table supported on the jacks, and a mechanism connecting the jacks for their simultaneous operation. Each jack is provided with a hydraulic or pneumatic cylinder for moving the jack to raise and lower the table, a pawl and rack mechanism which is normally held in its engaged position for holding the table in its raised position, and an AC solenoid connected to the pawl and rack mechanism for moving it to its disengaged position to allow the table to be lowered. The device includes a resistor connected in series to the solenoid. An integrating circuit is connected in parallel to the resistor, includes a capacitor and produces an electrical signal indicating any failure of the pawl and rack mechanism to be moved to its disengaged position. A relay is connected in parallel to the capacitor for operation in response to the signal to stop any lowering motion of the cylinder.

  • Patent number: 4884936
Abstract: A vehicle for carrying a container with castors from one place to another includes a mobile body and a driving unit supported thereon. A carrier is vertically movably provided on the body adjacent to the driving unit for carrying a container thereon. A member is provided on the carrier for supporting the container at one end thereof, while holding the wheels of the container at the end thereof above the ground when the carrier is in a raised position.

  • Patent number: 4854421
Abstract: A system for lifting a vehicle for repair thereof has a pair of parallel pits which are made in a floor and connected to each other by a passage. A rotatable support rod extends through the entire length of said passage and projects into both of the pits. A pair of scissors jacks are supported in the respective pits. Each scissors jack includes a pair of parallel vertically-extensible double-scissors constructions. The double-scissors constructions can be retracted or folded into the associated pit. Each double-scissors construction comprises a pair of upper and lower vertically-extensible X-shaped elements pivotally connected to each other. Each X-shaped element includes a pair of links pivotally connected to each other in the alphabetical letter "X". One of the links of the lower X-shaped element has a lower end fixed to the support rod, so that all the four double-scissors constructions of the two scissors jacks are connected to the common support rod.

  • Patent number: 4854422
Abstract: A hand-operated lift truck includes a pump unit adapted to operate a hydraulic cylinder which in turn serves to move a fork up and down above a chassis. The pump unit is positioned right above one of a pair of rear wheels of the lift truck and includes a pumping handle for operating a plunger pump. The pumping handle is rotatable about its own axis and linked at the lower end to a support which supports the one rear wheel stated, so that when rotated the handle causes the one rear wheel to turn integrally with it. The pumping handle, therefore, bifunctions as a steering handle which is easy to operate. In addition, because the pumping handle is rotatable as stated, it can be tilted and untilted to drive the pump even if the space available at the rear of the lift truck is narrow.

  • Patent number: 4830147
Abstract: A jacking device, which is, for example, used for lifting a motor vehicle when repairing it, includes at least one jack installed in a floor pit and including at least two horizontally spaced apart parallel pairs of links which are designed for simultaneous movement in two parallel vertical planes, respectively. A mechanism is associated with the links for moving them vertically. A table is horizontally supported on the links for lifitng e.g. a motor vehicle. Each pair of links consists of a first link and a second link which are so connected to each other as to form an X-shaped assembly when they are raised to raise the table. The first links in those two pairs of links are parallel to each other, and the second links are also parallel to each other. The links and the link moving mechanism are foldable into the pit when the table is lowered to close the pit.

  • Patent number: 4815712
Abstract: A safety device which prevents any one-sided lowering motion of a jacking system including a plurality of jacks which are designed for simultaneous operation, and a mechanism connecting the jacks for their simultaneous operation. Each jack includes a first hydraulic or pneumatic cylinder for raising and lowering a table, a substantially vertically disposed rack mechanism, a pawl mechanism which is normally engaged with the rack mechanism to hold the table in a raised position, and a second pneumatic or hydraulic cylinder for disengaging the pawl mechanism from the rack mechanism. The safety device includes a plurality of valves each provided in one of the jacks and operable by a pushbutton to produce a fluid presure signal when the pushbutton has been depressed. A mechanical actuator is provided in each jack for depressing the pushbutton when the pawl mechanism has been disengaged from the rack mechanism.
