    Abstract: A seat holding portion structure has a side member that extends substantially in a vehicle longitudinal direction. The side member has a kick portion whose front and rear end sides are bent and that joins a front portion and a rear portion of the side member that are offset in a vehicle vertical direction. A floor reinforcement is installed within the side member from an opening portion of a vehicle body floor. A rear end portion of an elongated seat holding member is inserted in the floor reinforcement. A connecting body having a closed cross-sectional structure is fixed to a rear end portion of the seat holding member and is disposed at a rear end side bent portion of the kick portion, and, together with the floor reinforcement, is mounted to the side member.

    Abstract: A grommet 1 has a central shaft 2 through which a wire harness 5 is inserted. A circular connection portion 31 is provided continuously to the periphery of the central shaft 2. A convex cross-sectionally V-shaped ring-like lip 32 is extensibly provided to the circular connection portion 31 in the direction of the center of the central shaft. A flange portion 33 is provided continuously to the lip portion 32. When the grommet 1 is assembled to a body panel 10, the lip 32 of the grommet 1 is extended in the direction of the center of the central shaft 2 of the grommet 1, thereby reducing the diameter of the lip 32. Then, the lip 32 is inserted into the through hole 12 of the body panel 10. Thus, a low insertion force is sufficient when the grommet is inserted thereinto. Consequently, the assemblability of the grommet 1 is enhanced.

    Abstract: There is provided a vehicle body structure in which a roof side rail has a closed section formed by integrating together a roof side rail outer and a roof side rail inner, and a part of the roof side rail in a longitudinal direction thereof forms an upper edge of a vehicle body side opening which is opened and closed by a sliding door.
