  • Patent number: 5950646
Abstract: A vapor feed supply system including a vaporizer device and a method of cleaning a vapor flow region employing such a vaporizer device enables thorough cleaning of the system, without having to degrade the overall system vacuum in the process of cleaning the vaporizer device. The method includes defining a cleaning fluid passage having a predetermined withstand pressure by isolating a cleaning region of the vapor flow region, and flowing a cleaning fluid into the cleaning fluid passage under a pressure so as to enable the cleaning fluid to remain in a liquid state at a cleaning temperature of the cleaning region.

  • Patent number: 5936352
Abstract: A plasma processing apparatus includes a plasma chamber and an antenna formed by a first set of parallel antenna elements and a second set of parallel antenna elements, the antenna elements of the first set being interdigitally arranged with those of the second set. An energy source supplies oscillation energy of first phase to the first set of antenna elements and oscillation energy of second, opposite phase to the second set of antenna elements to produce oppositely moving energy fields in the chamber at such a frequency that electrons are confined in a plasma produced in the chamber.

  • Patent number: 5929570
Abstract: This invention is concerned with providing a micro-wave plasma generating device of a simple structure and with good cooling effect of the insulating tube. Micro-wave plasma generating device which generates the plasma by introduction of a processing gas into the insulating tube transversing through the micro-wave waveguide in which the metal wire or the metal rod is spirally wound on and around the insulating tube. An air-blowing means is further provided at a portion of the insulating tube through which the waveguide transverses. The metal wire wound around the insulating tube may be affixed to the tube using solder.

  • Patent number: 5900699
Abstract: The plasma generator includes a plasma generation chamber which is pumped and into which plasma generation gas is introduced. An antenna provided outside the plasma generation chamber, a RF source supplying a RF power with the antenna to excite the antenna. A part or whole of the plasma generation chamber is made of dielectric. The antenna radiates the RF through the dielectric and includes an antenna element which longitudinal direction is vertical to the direction for the plasma. The plasma generation chamber has a side wall intersecting the longitudinal direction of the antenna element at both sides. A part or whole of a plasma generation chamber is made of dielectric having relative permittivity .epsilon..sub.S. The antenna radiates a RF through the dielectric and is comprised of multiple antenna elements which longitudinal directions are on a plane vertical to the direction for the plasma.

  • Patent number: 5819559
Abstract: Needle beds are provided with needles, needle jacks and select jacks and selectors, and the selectors are provided with three butts. The front butt is made to contact the reference plane of the carriage to serve as the fulcrum of rocking. The second butt is used to withdraw the selector, and the tail butt is used to advance the selector. Two pressing cams of the carriage press the tail butt to make the selector to be attracted by a permanent magnet. Two raising cams of the carriage advance the selector to the H position and the A position.

  • Patent number: 5166652
Abstract: A bistable solenoid for use with a knitting machine. The bistable solenoid includes an enclosure made of magnetic material which includes bearing surfaces at opposite ends. A plunger having a central region made of magnetic material and outer end regions made of non-magnetic material is movable within the enclosure for operation of a cam of a knitting machine. The movable plunger is controlled by axially aligned permanent magnets which are spaced from each other by a yoke. The permanent magnets are sandwiched between magnetizable coils which move the plunger toward the coil that is excited. The plunger is spaced radially from the coil's magnets and bearing so that very little wear is brought about during use in operating the cam of the knitting machine.

  • Patent number: 4658293
Abstract: A scanning conversion method prepares, in order to convert 2:1 interlace scanning video signals formed by (2N+1)/2 lines (N: positive integer) into progressive scanning system video signals, a memory (23) having addresses corresponding to N+1 lines. The address of the memory (23) for N+1 lines are circulated thereby to progressively write the interlace scanning video signals in the addresses while reading the signals from the addresses subjected to the writing at a speed twice that in the writing repeatedly twice.
