    Abstract: Example methods for reporting user equipment location information and apparatus are described. In one example method, user equipment receives a first message, where the first message comprises a paging trigger indication, and the paging trigger indication is used to trigger the user equipment to report, when receiving a paging message, a measurement result of a positioning reference signal. The user equipment receives the paging message in an idle state or an inactive state. The measurement result of the positioning reference signal is reported by the user equipment based on the paging message.

    Abstract: This application provides a radio resource management measurement method and apparatus. A network device sends measurement configuration information to a terminal device, where the measurement configuration information carries a first threshold; and the terminal device determines, based on a value relationship between a detection value and the first threshold, and signal quality of at least one neighboring cell, whether to report a measurement report. When performing RRM measurement, the terminal device can determine, based on a relationship between the first threshold and signal quality of a serving cell and/or a quantity of detected cells, and the signal quality of the at least one neighboring cell, whether to report the measurement report. This can prevent the terminal device from reporting the measurement report frequently, and avoid a case in which the terminal device does not report the measurement report in a timely manner, so that a measurement mechanism is more appropriate.

The method includes: A network device sends a broadcast message. A terminal receives the broadcast message from the network device, where the broadcast message includes configuration information, the configuration information includes information about a common channel resource, and the common channel resource is used to transmit measurement information. The terminal sends the measurement information to the network device on the common channel resource. In this way, when receiving the measurement information on the common channel resource, the network device does not know a specific terminal that sends the measurement information. Therefore, privacy of the terminal can be protected from being disclosed, and the measurement information can be collected.

One example method includes generating a handover request message or a handover requirement message by a source radio access network (RAN) device. The handover request message includes a first mapping relationship between downlink transmission of a quality of service (QoS) flow and a data radio bearer (DRB) and a second mapping relationship between uplink transmission of the QoS flow and a DRB that are configured by the source RAN device for a terminal device, where the two mapping relationships are different. The source RAN device sends the handover request message to a target RAN device, and forwards data of the terminal device on the source RAN device to the target RAN device in a process in which the terminal device is handed over from the source RAN device to the target RAN device.
