    Abstract: A heat dissipating device of the present invention includes a heat sink (20) and two locking devices (10) for securing the heat sink. The heat sink includes a base (22) for contacting an electronic component. Each locking device includes a spring member, a post (12) and a sleeve (18). The spring member elastically rests on the base. The post extends through the sleeve. The post has one end engaging with the spring member, and an opposite end thereof extending beyond the sleeve for locking the combination. The sleeve has one end tightly grasping the post, and an opposite end thereof preventing the locking device from departing from the heat sink.

    Abstract: An electric fan includes a fan base (10), a bearing (40) and a rotor assembly (20). The fan base forms a central tube (11) receiving the bearing therein. The rotor assembly includes a fan hub (22), and a pivot axle (23) joined to the fan hub. The pivot axle pivotably extends into the bearing. A first and second locking rings (50, 70) are received in the central tube. Each of the first and second locking rings defines a central bore (52) therein. The pivot axle is engaged in the central bores of the first and second locking rings. The first locking ring is located at a top of the bearing and the second locking ring is located at a bottom of the bearing to prevent the rotor assembly from escaping from the bearing when the fan is operated.

The bearing has a central bore (42) and at least one channel (43) defined in the bearing and located around the bore. As the fan is operated, the lubricating oil repeatedly flows through the at least one channel.

A handling tab (156) and an engaging tab (158) extend from a free end of each spring lever, respectively outwardly and inwardly. The barrel forms two jagged members (262) thereon. Each jagged member forms a plurality of parallel teeth (264). The engaging tabs are selectively engaged with corresponding teeth respectively to position the barrel to the ventilating pipe when the barrel is moved to a desired location in the ventilating pipe. The engaging tabs escape from teeth by pulling the handling tabs outwardly to allow the barrel to be movable on the ventilating pipe. The holding frame is secured to the barrel for holding a fluid-driving device thereon.

    Abstract: A heat dissipation assembly includes a heat sink, a retention module and a clip for securing the heat sink to the retention module. The heat sink includes a base for contacting with a heat generating device. The retention module includes a bottom wall and a first sidewall defining a slot therein and extending from the bottom wall. The clip includes a connecting portion pivotably connected to the retention module. The heat sink rests on the bottom wall of the retention module with an end thereof fitting in the slot, and an opposite end thereof being pressed by the clip. The clip can be in a released position that the clip is pivotable, so that the heat sink is removable from the retention module, and a locked position that the clip presses the heat sink. Thus, the heat sink can be secured to the heat generating device expediently.

The retention module (20) defines an opening (26) therein for surrounding the electronic package (100). Four positioning holes (28) are defined in four corners of the retention module (20). In assembly of the heat sink assembly, the pins (30) are interferentially positioned in the positioning holes (28) of the retention module (20). Portions of the pins (30) extending out beyond the retention module (20) are welded to the printed circuit board (10). The clip (50) cooperates with the retention module (20) to press the heat sink (40) against the electronic package (100).

The motherboard and the heat sink each respectively define through apertures (52) and through holes (16) therein. The heat sink clip assembly includes four sleeves (46), four posts (38), four fasteners (41), and four spring members (44). Each sleeve comprises a top section and a bottom section. The top sections of the sleeves engage in the through holes respectively to attach the sleeves to the heat sink. The posts extend through the through apertures and received in the bottom sections of the sleeves. Each fastener includes a top head and a bottom end, the bottom ends extend into the sleeves and coupled to the top portions of the posts. The spring members are compressed between the top heads of the fasteners and the heat sink urging the heat sink toward the motherboard.

The first fastener is located between the pair of latches. The heat pipes are inserted through the first and second plates between said edges. The first and second plates then abut each other at said edges.
