  • Patent number: 7813003
Abstract: A method and an apparatus of color-space conversion are provided herein. When adjustment of saturation and/or hue is performed on a RGB color signal, pixel luminance will be influenced to some extent. In the conversion method of the present invention, luminance compensation will be performed after global or local adjustment to keep the pixel luminance from being influenced by the color-space conversion. The luminance compensation method is to adjust a compensation value according to a ratio of an adjusted pixel luminance to an original pixel luminance.

  • Publication number: 20100053445
Abstract: A state detector of a video device and a state detection method thereof are provided. The state detector includes a first chroma detector, a second chroma detector, and a controller. The first chroma detector and the second chroma detector operate in a first state among a plurality of states. When the second chroma detector is not capable of processing an input signal normally, the controller controls the second chroma detector to switch between the states until the second chroma detector operates in a second state to process the input signal normally, and the first chroma detector is set to operating in the second state. As a result, the quality of a displayed image is improved.

  • Patent number: 7428020
Abstract: The present invention provides a method of noise reduction applied in digital video signal processing according to the following steps. A video signal is received initially; after the adaptive spatial filtering, a basic signal is generated. The basic signal is then divided into a number of N bandwidth divisions of spatial domain signals. Each spatial domain signal is undergone a corresponding adaptive temporal filtering and a plurality of corresponding temporal filtered signals is generated. Each temporal filtered signal is undergone individual noise estimation, and a corresponding feedback signal is generated in order to control the corresponding adaptive temporal filtering. In the end, all temporal filtered signals are summed up to a processed video signal; where N is a natural number.

  • Patent number: 5214731
Abstract: The present invention discloses an optical fiber connector assembly for use in communication systems. The optical fiber connector assembly includes an insulating housing having complementary upper cover and bottom base members and at least one ferrule with the housing disposed longitudinally and parallel to the longitudinal axis at the free end of the housing. A multi-faceted key mechanism within the housing provides a marking feature to prevent improper connection of mating connectors. At the rear end of the bottom base and its corresponding upper cover there is provided a hollow retention bolt which is preassemblable and adapted to retain the optical fiber cable in position and to hold the two half-shells together. A dust-reject cover is provided having cooperating grooved recesses in opposite end walls sized to fit over and be retained on the connector cable when the connector is connected to another optical device and the dust cover must be removed from the housing.
