Publication number: 20240087215Abstract: A system for generating an advanced surround view for a vehicle includes a plurality of cameras to generate image data. Sensors are configured to determine kinematic data of the vehicle. Kinematic data are also obtained by a visual odometry module and/or a deep-vision mechanism. A processor is configured to process image data captured by the plurality of cameras to generate a 360-degree surround view layer representative of a surrounding area. The processor is further configured to construct an improved bicycle kinematic model for processing kinematic data to generate an under-chassis layer representative of an area under the vehicle. The processor is further configured to generate a 3D vehicle model layer and overlay objects layer. Display screens display a GUI of combined scene of the 360-degree surround view layer, under-chassis layer, 3D vehicle model layer and overlay objects layer as would be viewed from a virtual camera viewpoint.Type: ApplicationFiled: October 26, 2023Publication date: March 14, 2024Inventors: Dai Thanh PHAN, Phuc Thien NGUYEN, Chi Thanh NGUYEN, Duc Chan VU, Truong Trung Tin NGUYEN, Dang Quang NGUYEN, Hai Hung BUI

Patent number: 10188332Abstract: A system for sensing glucose concentration is provided and includes following components. A light source generates a light beam. The system may include a polarization state generator (PSG) for changing the polarization of the light beam, and then the light beam is emitted to a biological tissue. A polarization state analyzer (PSA) receives the light beam reflected from the biological tissue, and the received light beam is used to calculate Stokes vectors. A Mueller matrix is calculated according to the Stokes vectors. In some embodiments, the system includes an optical coherence tomography (OCT) in which the light beam is sensed by a detector for calculating the Mueller matrix. An optical rotation angle and a depolarization index are calculated in accordance with the differential Mueller matrix formalism. The glucose concentration is calculated in accordance with the optical rotation angle and the depolarization index.Type: GrantFiled: January 4, 2018Date of Patent: January 29, 2019Assignee: NATIONAL CHENG KUNG UNIVERSITYInventors: Yu-Lung Lo, Quoc-Hung Phan, Chia-Chi Liao

Publication number: 20160352812Abstract: A system includes a processor which has access to a representation of model of activity, which includes workspaces. Each workspace includes domain hierarchies for representing an organizational structure of the collaborating users using the system, and initiatives hierarchies representing process structures for accomplishing goals. An interface permits users to view and modify the workspaces for which the user has access. Each user can have different access permissions in different workspaces. The domain and initiative hierarchies provide two views of the workspace objects without duplicating resources. A resource is a collection of shared elements defined by the users that give users associated with the workspace access to information sources. Users can define knowledge boards for creating reports based on information fields of the resources. The knowledge board is associated with a resource template from which the resource is created.Type: ApplicationFiled: February 20, 2015Publication date: December 1, 2016Inventors: Janet Ahlgren, Andy Chang, Kevin Kelley, Gideon Moran, Gorham Palmer, Hung Phan, Nhat Phan, Stuart Rudolph, Robert Torchon

Patent number: 8862264Abstract: In a supplying system using containers for supplying groups of filter elements to smoking article assembling equipment, each container has a unique source of information that travels with the container. An unloader receives and unloads the containers. An automated data reader is proximate the unloader for reading the source of information for each container before it is unloaded. A computerized controller uses the information read by the automated data reader to obtain information from a database. The information from the database is compared to information from another source to verify that the proper filter elements are being supplied. The computerized controller allows, or instructs, the unloader to unload correctly supplied filter elements, and stops the unloader from unloading incorrectly supplied filter elements.Type: GrantFiled: October 7, 2011Date of Patent: October 14, 2014Assignee: R.J.
