  • Patent number: 9104826
Abstract: A design verification system automatically identifies coverage of different constraints for a static model of an electronic device. The static model can be employed by a tool, referred to as a solver, that identifies whether the mathematical relationships of the static model can be reconciled, given a set of user-defined constraints that indicate a desired configuration, or range of configurations, of the electronic device. After a solution for a particular set of user-defined constraints has been identified, a constraints adjustment module can identify, based on coverage information generated by the solver, if other sets of user-defined constraints were implicitly solved by the solver. If such other sets were implicitly solved, the adjustments module can mark the sets as solved, such that they will omitted from constraints used for subsequent solutions of the solver.

  • Patent number: 9098606
Abstract: Disclosed herein are methods and systems that relate to an “activity assistant” that provides users with dynamically-selected “activities” that are intelligently tailored to the user's world. The subject technology receives the one or more global parameters of one or more selected activities. The subject technology further receives the one or more account-specific parameters of a selected user account. For the selected user account, and for each of the one or more selected activities, the subject technology: (a) determines one or more signals based at least in part on one or more of the global parameters of the selected activity and one or more of the account-specific parameters of the selected user account, and (b) uses the determined signals as a basis for determining an importance of the selected activity for the selected user.

  • Publication number: 20150180846
Abstract: A content management system can tag a client installer with an information tag linking the client installer to a user account. The client installer can be configured to install the client-side application on the client device and pass the identification tag to the installed client-side application. The client-side application can transmit the identification tag to the content management system, which can use the identification tag to identify the linked user account and log the client-side application into the user account. The content management system can implement several verification measures such as limiting the number of times and when an identification tag can be used, as well as IP addresses that can use the identification tag. The content management system can also use data cached by the web-browser application to determine if the web-browser application was used to access the user account in the past.

  • Publication number: 20150179381
Abstract: A shunt trip device for a circuit breaker having a trip bar for tripping the circuit breaker. The device includes a housing having a slot and a bottom wall having a pivot pocket. The device also includes a lever arm having a lever projection portion and a pivot portion. The pivot portion is located in the pivot pocket to enable rotation of the lever arm in the slot about a lever rotation axis between first and second positions. When the lever arm is in the second position, the lever projection portion moves the trip bar and trips the circuit breaker. The device further includes an actuation device that moves the lever arm to the second position. The pivot portion and pivot pocket form a configuration that increases a perpendicular distance between a force generated by the actuation device and the lever rotation axis.

  • Publication number: 20150162147
Abstract: An accessory device for a circuit breaker. The device includes a housing having a top wall and a hinge portion. The device also includes a plunger arm that extends from the hinge portion to form a cantilever wherein the plunger arm includes a first surface and a sloped surface. The plunger arm is moveable between an initial position wherein the plunger arm does not activate the first and second switches located in the housing and a deflected position wherein the first and sloped surfaces simultaneously contact the first and second switches, respectively, thereby activating the first and second switches. The plunger arm also includes a plunger portion that is oriented transverse to the plunger arm. A mating surface is formed on the plunger portion that mates with a mating surface of a circuit breaker operating mechanism. Further, the housing, hinge portion, plunger arm, and plunger portion are integrally formed.

  • Patent number: 9054963
Abstract: A container that manages access to protected resources using rules to intelligently manage them includes an environment having a set of software and configurations that are to be managed. A rule engine, which executes the rules, may be called reactively when software accesses protected resources. The engine uses a combination of embedded and configurable rules. It may be desirable to assign and manage rules per process, per resource (e.g. file, registry, etc.), and per user. Access rules may be altitude-specific access rules.

  • Publication number: 20150138654
Abstract: A Fresnel lens including a plurality of sawtooth-shaped projections, with each projection including a first surface at a first angle and a second surface at a second angle. Each first surface has top and bottom edges and each second surface has top and bottom edges. Each projection has a top intersection where the top edge of the first surface intersects the top edge of the second surface. Adjacent projections have a bottom intersection where the bottom edge of the second surface of a first one of the adjacent projections intersects the bottom edge of the first surface of a second one of the adjacent projections. The lens portion is opaque at the top intersection of the projections, at the bottom intersection of adjacent projections, and on the first surface between the top intersection and the bottom intersection.

  • Patent number: 9035677
Abstract: A transceiver includes a transmitter and receiver that form a series current path between two power-supply nodes. Powering both the transmitter and receiver with the same supply current saves power. The transmitter functions as a resistive load for the receiver, and thus performs useful work with power that would otherwise be dissipated as waste heat.

  • Publication number: 20150134305
Abstract: A design verification system verifies an electronic device design based on a static model of the electronic device. The static model is an expression of the relationships between modules of the electronic device design and relationships between the behaviors of those modules that can be expressed as set of logical relationships. The static model does not rely on a time variable, but instead reflects a fixed set of relationships between the electronic device modules and between behaviors of the electronic device modules. The static model can be employed by a solver, that identifies whether or how the mathematical relationships of the static model can be reconciled, given a set of constraints. The solver results can be analyzed to identify whether there are errors in the device design, such as resource conflicts, failure of the design to achieve a desired configuration, and the like.

  • Publication number: 20140376374
Abstract: A multi-modal multi-modulation small cell base station such as a picocell is disclosed. The small cell can perform operations to form a self-organizing network. Portions of the small cell, for example, in a processor module, that provide function for SONs may be referred to as a SON module. The SON module may provide a configurable set of algorithmic optimizer components to tune various aspects of network performance. The SON module may provide functions such as a tracking area optimizer, a random access channel (RACH) optimizer, a mobility optimizer, a load balancer, and an inter-cell interference coordinator (ICIC).

  • Patent number: 8850550
Abstract: A security token service generates a security token for a user that is associated with a client and stores the full security token within a memory. The security token includes an identity claim that represents the identity of the generated security token. Instead of passing the entire security token back to the client, the identity claim is returned to the client. For each request the client makes to the service, the client passes the identity claim in the request instead of the full security token having all of the claims. The identity claim is much smaller then the full security token. When a computing device receives the identity claim within the request from the user, the identity claim is used to access the full security token that is stored in memory.
