  • Publication number: 20210050750
Abstract: In an inductively coupled power transmitter a force detector that detects the presence of a potential device by monitoring forces applied to a surface of the power transmitter and activates the inductively coupled power transmitter upon detection of a potential device. An inductively coupled power transmitter having a proximity detector that detects the presence and location of a potential device by monitoring the proximity of devices to a surface of the power transmitter and activates the inductively coupled power transmitter upon detection of a potential device. The transmitter preferably has one or more detection coils each having an area much greater than that of the transmitter coils for detecting the presence of a potential device.

  • Publication number: 20210022544
Abstract: A hollow cylinder (102) contains hot water for making a hot beverage, for example, coffee. The cylinder (102) has an inner wall (102a) extending along an axis (104) from an open upper end (102b) to an open lower end (102c) of the cylinder. A perforated closure (106) is releasably securable to the cylinder (102) to hold the coffee at the lower end (102c). A cap (110) carries a plunger (112) configured and arranged for sealing engagement with the inner wall (102a) of the cylinder (102). In use, the cap (110) is rotatable on the cylinder (102) about the axis (104) and is connected to the cylinder (102) by a helical formation. Rotation of the cap (110) on the cylinder (102) drives the plunger (112) towards the lower end (102c) of the cylinder (102) to press the hot water through the perforated closure (106) and the coffee held thereon and then into the vessel (118).

  • Publication number: 20200167481
Abstract: A system for generating entity-specific security-related inquiries and determining a frequency for invoking the inquiries based on integration of external security-related data and internal security related data. Specifically, a security threat level is determined for an entity and the components which comprise the security threat are identified. The components signify areas of focus for generating the entity-specific security-related inquiries. In further embodiments of the invention analytics are implemented to logically analyze the external security-related data and internal security related data and the results of which further refine the generation of the entity-specific security-related inquiries and/or determination of the frequency for invoking the inquiries.

  • Patent number: 10419317
Abstract: Examples of the disclosure describe automatically associating devices of a user with a network service subscription of the user. The user has a subscription to services offered by an entity. Connection statistics for the devices to networks are generated and compared to criteria to determine whether any of the devices should be associated with the subscription of the user. After association, the devices are able to access networks and/or services associated with the subscription.
