  • Publication number: 20220300675
Abstract: Methods, systems, computer-readable media, and apparatuses for performing, providing, managing, executing, and/or running a simulation are presented. In one or more embodiments, a computing device may receive one or more changes associated with one of a plurality of entities being simulated. The computing device may determine, based on the one or more changes, one or more component updates associated with the one of the plurality of entities, and determine one or more authority change events occurred on one or more components of the one of the plurality of entities. The computing device may further determine that one or more interest query change events occurred and that one or more interest view change events occurred. The computing device may further determine one or more worker protocol operations, and synchronize, based on the one or more worker protocol operations, view changes with one or more interested workers.

  • Patent number: 11447892
Abstract: A method and system for the production of fibers for use in biocomposites is provided that includes the ability to use both retted and unretted straw, that keeps the molecular structure of the fibers intact by subjecting the fibers to minimal stress, that maximizes the fiber's aspect ratio, that maximizes the strength of the fibers, and that minimizes time and energy inputs, along with maintaining the fibers in good condition for bonding to the polymer(s) used with the fibers to form the biocomposite material. This consequently increases the functionality of the biocomposites produced (i.e. reinforcement, sound absorption, light weight, heat capacity, etc.), increasing their marketability. Additionally, as the disclosed method does not damage the fibers, oilseed flax straw, as well as all types of fibrous materials (i.e. fiber flax, banana, jute, industrial hemp, sisal, coir) etc., can be processed in bio composite materials.

  • Publication number: 20220286523
Abstract: Methods and systems for providing scalable replication of object positions in virtual simulations are described herein. A computing device may determine a current position of an entity in a virtual simulation. The computing device may determine, based on the current position, a time derivative of the current position of the entity. The computing device may query a dictionary for the time derivative to obtain a particular index identifying a time derivative value that corresponds to the time derivative of the current position of the entity. The dictionary may comprise one or more time derivative value pairs associated with time derivatives of one or more previous positions of the entity. When the time derivative of the current position of the entity is in the dictionary, the computing device may encode the particular index. Further, the computing device may send the particular index to a client device.

  • Patent number: 11436092
Abstract: Examples may include backup objects for fully provisioned volumes with thin lists of chunk signatures. Examples may generate one or more full lists of chunk signatures for the address space of a fully provisioned volume, compare each chunk signature of the full list to an unused region chunk signature representing a chunk of an unused region of the fully provisioned volume, generate metadata to indicate used regions of the fully provisioned volume, based on the comparisons, and generate from the one or more full lists, one or more thin lists omitting all chunk signatures determined to match the unused region chunk signature.

  • Publication number: 20220277458
Abstract: Various embodiments contemplate systems, architectures and methods for extracting and selecting headshots of human or non-human entities from catalogs of images of such subjects. The methods described may find and extract faces from within groups of subjects, verify that the extracted faces correspond to the desired subject, determine cropping or masking regions, or both, of rectangular, circular, elliptical or some other geometry to provide an easily recognized image of the desired subject, expand the output image by synthesizing pixels as may be needed for a desired cropping or masking region, select preferred images among a collection of images of the desired subject, and perform other useful functions. The resulting output images may be in either direct form, reference form or both forms.

  • Publication number: 20220267123
Abstract: A cable safety device that is configured to be operably coupled to a portion of a cable so as to dampen and reduce a whiplash movement of the cable in the event the cable ruptures. The present invention includes a body wherein the body is planar and annular in shape. The body includes an outer perimeter edge. A center aperture is formed in the body and is configured to releasably secure to a portion of a cable. A notch is formed in the body wherein the notch is wider proximate the outer perimeter edge narrowing in shape progressively towards the center aperture. A pair of orifices are formed through the body and are opposedly located with respect to the center aperture. Structural members are journaled through the pair of orifices. In a preferred deployment of the present invention a multitude of body elements are placed adjacent each other.

  • Publication number: 20220235146
Abstract: The present invention relates to the area of improved anti-IgE antibodies and antigen binding agents, and compositions thereof, which target IgE, for instance: for use in treating disorders caused by IgE (such as allergic responses, or certain autoimmune responses); and, in particular, disorders caused by the interaction of IgE with the Fc?RI receptor. In particular, this invention relates to improved anti-IgE antibodies and antigen binding agents related to novel mutants of omalizumab (Xolair®). The improved anti-IgE antibodies and antigen binding agents of the invention may have improved affinity for IgE and/or an improved interaction with the C?2 domain of IgE and/or an improved modified epitope on IgE (for instance further involving the C?2 domain of IgE) and/or the ability to disassociate IgE from the Fc?RI receptor for instance at pharmaceutically-relevant concentrations.

  • Patent number: 11356431
Abstract: A computing device operating system providing a plurality of secure domains. A domain manager selectively creates a plurality of secure domains, and one of the secure domains is selected as a current domain. A domain policy service stores and enforces, for each secure domain, a policy comprising a rule set controlling access to files and applications associated with the domain. A package manager enforces, for each secure domain, installation of the applications associated with the domain. A domain message service provides communication between running processes associated with different ones of the secure domains. An activity manager selectively switches the current domain. Domain isolation is achieved while enabling a unified user interface providing concurrent access to the resources of multiple domains.

  • Patent number: 11290520
Abstract: A first set of blocks is caused, by a first computer system, to be downloaded from a file located on a second computer system. A second set of blocks to download from the file is identified, based at least in part on the first set of blocks. A subset of the second set of blocks that are not in a cache of the first computer system are determined. For each determined block in the subset, an available thread is assigned from a thread pool to the determined block, the available thread is caused to download, in concurrence with blocks being downloaded by threads assigned to other determined blocks of the subset, the determined block from a second computer system into the cache of the first computer system.
