    Abstract: A method of testing a target electronic device implemented in a configurable integrated circuit device includes receiving a baseline design for the target electronic device in a hardware description language, establishing a fault model for the particular configurable integrated circuit device, synthesizing the fault model in the hardware description language, embedding the synthesized fault model into the baseline design to create a modified baseline design in the hardware description language which enables one or more targeted signals to be selectively corrupted, creating a fault model enabled target device on the particular configurable integrated circuit device using the modified baseline design, performing a number of fault injection experiments on the fault model enabled target device, wherein each fault injection experiment includes causing at least one of the one or more targeted signals to be corrupted within the fault model enabled target device.

    Abstract: An optical system for non-invasive cytometry of mammalian cells includes a light source, a cell positioner, an optical imager, an optical wavefront sensor and a computer. The light source produces an illuminating beam of spatially coherent radiation. The cell positioner sequentially moves a single cell from a population of multiple cells into a sub-aperture region of the illumination beam whose wavefront is perturbed in response to the physical structure of the single cell. An optical system relays a magnified image of the sub-aperture region containing the cell to an image plane. At the image plane a Shack-Hartmann wavefront sensor is positioned. Within the pupil of the wavefront sensor the local tilts of the wavefront in the sub-aperture region are measured and sent to a computer. Software calculates the Zernike coefficients corresponding to the aberration induced by the structure of each cell. Their Zernike signatures classify the cells into distinct types.

    Abstract: During any kind of traffic management involving consolidation or compression, or converging readouts or outputs, shortening of individual vehicle headway, there is a necessity that vehicles in a moving pattern must get closer together. For the particular case of taking random traffic approaching a traffic signal and consolidating traffic to go through the signal during the green phase, vehicles must be substantially consolidated at a ratio of the service cycle of the traffic signal to the “net” green during which time they all pass through the signal. This remains true for both autonomic as well as adjustable adaptable phase-changing traffic management systems. Traffic density (passing vehicle number per time) is measured before or at the beginning of traffic management. Density figures are compared under a predetermined scheduling/convergence mechanism that takes into account the densest traffic will be, or the closest vehicles will be with respect to one another.

    Abstract: A turbocharger compressor housing apparatus comprises a compressor housing and diffuser. These components are configured to provide an interference fit when assembled. An annular projection extends outwardly from one of such components toward the other of the components and engages the other of the components to form an annular joint. One of the compressor housing and diffuser comprises a recess positioned to collect debris generated during the interference fit to prevent the debris from reaching the annular joint. A second recess can be provided at the opposite side of the projection to accommodate deformation of the projection during assembly of the diffuser and compressor housing. The recesses can be annular and can, along with the projection, be included in the diffuser.

A Fast Lane On Warning (FLOW) sequencer is in synchronization with traffic phases sequencer (sequencing Red, Green, Yellow, Left Turn and the like) with both sequencers having service cycle period ‘Pi’ . The start times of both sequences are appropriately offset from one another. Sensors up road from the signal provide data on approaching vehicles number per time to a processor that synthesizes the data for one or more “fast” lanes in one or more directions.

The porous or micro-porous separator laminate is made of multiple polymer layers, at least one of the member layers having melting temperature at least 20-C below the melting temperature of the other polymer member layers. The composite porous electrolyte is inserted between the electrodes of a rechargeable lithium battery. In another embodiment the porous polymer separator sheet has an adherent, dissociable lithium compound containing, solid second polymer layer on each of its major faces.
