  • Publication number: 20240078251
Abstract: The systems and methods described here can reduce the storage space required (memory and/or disk) to store certain types of data, provide efficient (fast) creation, modification and retrieval of such data, and support such data within the framework of a multi-version database. In some embodiments, the systems and methods can store each field of a set of records as a vector of values, e.g., a data vector. A set of records can be represented using a vector id vector, or “vid” vector, wherein each element of the vid vector contains a reference to the memory location of a data vector. A header table can store associations between labels and “vid” vectors that pertain to those labels. Identical data vectors can be re-used between different record sets or vid vectors needing that vector, thus saving space.

  • Patent number: 11271439
Abstract: A wireless power system may use a wireless power transmitting device to transmit wireless power to a wireless power receiving device. The wireless power transmitting device may transmit wireless power at a wireless power transmission frequency. Wireless power signals at the wireless power transmission frequency can create interference with a sensitive electrical component in the wireless power receiving device when the wireless power transmission frequency lies in a sensitive frequency band associated with the component. Measurement circuitry in the wireless power receiving device can measure the wireless power transmission frequency. In response to determining that the wireless power transmission frequency lies in a sensitive frequency band, the wireless power receiving device may send an in-band wireless power level adjustment request to the wireless power transmitting device. The request causes a frequency adjustment that moves the wireless power transmission frequency out of the sensitive band.

  • Publication number: 20210218797
Abstract: A method and system for managing an application with multiple modes are described. A device manager that manages a mobile device may monitor the mobile device. The device manager may detect that a first type of application that runs in a managed mode (or in multiple managed modes) and an unmanaged mode is installed on the mobile device. When the application is executed on the device, the application executes in accordance with the selected application mode, e.g., based on location, user, role, industry presence, or other predefined context.

  • Patent number: 10608474
Abstract: A wireless power receiving device may have wireless power receiving circuitry with a coil and rectifier. The wireless power receiving circuitry receives wireless power signals and uses the rectifier to supply a corresponding output. The output is characterized by a current, a voltage, and a power equal to a product of the current and voltage. The output of the rectifier is supplied to a direct-current-to-direct-current power regulator integrated circuit, which supplies direct-current power to a system load and battery. A controller integrated circuit directs the power regulator circuit to dither the current while monitoring for a peak in the power. If the power regulator circuit dithers the current satisfactorily, the wireless power receiving circuitry may be operated at the peak power. If the power regulator circuitry does not dither the current in response to being directed to dither the current, a wireless power transmission level may be reduced.

  • Patent number: 10046255
Abstract: A dual filter pump assembly provides a portable, typically hand-powered vacuum and pressure pump that alternatively creates a vacuum or negative pressure and positive pressure which force a liquid to be filtered through various passageways and chambers in a base and through a coarse filter medium and a micro filter medium. A lower check valve and an upper check valve maintain synchronized communication between the passageways, such that there is sufficient pressure and flow regulation to force the liquid through micro-sized pores in the generally flow restrictive micro filter medium. The micro-sized pores may be susceptible to inhibiting the flow of the liquid, and consequently generate pressure build up inside the pump and filter chambers. In some embodiments, a relief valve may help release the excess fluid pressure build up in the pump and filter chambers.

  • Patent number: 9808833
Abstract: A hydraulic separation system and method enables efficient recycling of log yard waste from an elevated frame. The system separates fine granules, small rocks, small bark, large bark, and large rocks with a variety of sequentially positioned, hydraulically powered separating components. The separation is mechanical and the size and weight of the individual material determines where in the system it is separated. Conveyors carry the log yard waste through the system. Shaking screens shake in a fast, up and down motion to flip and move the material through the system. Adjustable sloped plates work to accelerate and decelerate the material through the system. Dampening fingers control the disposition of elongated pieces of large bark and help to decelerate down the material. Blowers separate the bark from heavier rock and granular material. The elevated frame to enable cleaning and access to materials discharged beneath the elevated frame.

  • Patent number: 9491084
Abstract: A computer system monitors connectivity between a core network and two or more paths comprising a contiguous local area network segment. Each of the two or more paths couple at least one member of a team of network resources of the computer system to the core network. Each of the members of the team is configured to receive network management frames transmitted by one or more devices residing near or within the core network. A break in the connectivity between a path of the network segment and the core network is detected whenever the at least one member of the team coupled to that path fails to receive an expected one of the network management frames within a predetermined time period.

  • Patent number: 8121051
Abstract: A computer system teams its network resource ports on a per virtual network basis. The system configures one or more virtual networks. For each of the one or more configured virtual networks, the system establishes a team comprising two or more of the network resource ports. The system selects a layer2 address that is uniquely associated with one of the ports of the team. The system assigns the selected unique layer2 address to be the primary layer2 address for the team.
