    Abstract: A monolithic heat exchanger body for inputting heat to a closed-cycle engine includes heating walls and heat sink, such as heat transfer regions. The heating walls are configured and arranged in an array of spirals or spiral arcs relative to a longitudinal axis of an inlet plenum. Adjacent portions of the heating walls respectively define corresponding heating fluid pathways fluidly communicating with the inlet plenum. At least a portion of the heat sink is disposed about at least a portion of the monolithic heat exchanger body. The heat sink includes working-fluid bodies including working-fluid pathways that have a heat transfer relationship with the heating fluid pathways. Respective ones of the heat transfer regions have a heat transfer relationship with a corresponding semiannular portion of the heating fluid pathways. Respective ones of the heat transfer regions include working-fluid pathways fluidly communicating between a heat input region and a heat extraction region.

    Abstract: An endoscopy device is configured with a flexible cannula or tube for nasal insertion and has multiple parallel and adjacent lumens that provide sub-chambers configured to provide means to diagnose and treat Barrett's esophagus, such as by spray cryo-therapy with no further insertion of tubes. The lumens are configured to impart a small diameter with sufficient flexibility for nasal insertion into a patient's esophagus and accommodate a means any treatment modality. In the case of cryo-therapy, a lumen provides gas pressure relief, and is along the tube, with separate lumens for the delivery of a liquid freezing agent and an imaging means, which includes a source of illumination. Outer lumens may support guide wires used to steer the tube tip and aim the camera to determine the where to immobilize tip before the start of the treatment and/or to correct strictures formed in prior procedures.

Advantageously, the slip additive being in a sufficient amount such that slip resistance of a coating formed from the scuff and mar-resistant paint composition is decreased compared to a coating formed from the base paint formulation.     Abstract: In a fossil fuel waste incineration or plasma gasification process, waste heat generated by combustion of waste is captured by a heat transfer fluid and conveyed to an Organic Rankine Cycle (ORC) for energy recovery. In the case of a fossil fuel-fired waste incineration system, the heat transfer fluid captures waste heat from a double-walled combustion chamber, a heat exchanger being used to cool the hot process exhaust (gas cooler). In the case of a plasma waste gasification system, the heat transfer fluid captures waste heat from a plasma torch, a gasification chamber and combustion chamber cooling jackets as well as any other high-temperature components requiring cooling, and then a heat exchanger used to cool the hot process exhaust (gas cooler). The heat exchanger may take on several configurations, including plate or shell and tube configurations.

The light source bank, optical detector, processor, and memory device are mounted on the substrate, and a battery is in electronic communication with at least one of these components. Program instructions direct the processor to calculate an oxygenation level, compare that oxygenation level to a predetermined threshold, and optionally, activate a feedback device. A method of detecting an oxygenation level comprises mounting the system in a wearable article, calculating a baseline oxygenation level, regularly executing the program instructions to calculate the oxygenation level, and activating the feedback device.

The stator includes multiple phase electrical windings printed on multiple layers of a printed circuit board (PCB) that are stacked along the axial direction. The multiple layers are positioned between the Halbach arrays, with active side of the Halbach arrays facing to opposite sides of the multiple layers. The Halbach arrays are configured to generate a symmetrical magnetic field and the multiple phase electrical windings are configured to have a same rotor-dependent torque constant, such that the stator can generate a constant torque to rotate the rotor and the cam ring within a finite travel range.
