    Abstract: The present invention relates to a cosmetic composition in the form of a nano- or micro-emulsion, comprising: (a) at least one oil; (b) at least one polyglyceryl fatty acid ester, preferably with a polyglyceryl moiety derived from 3 to 6 glycerins, more preferably 5 or 6 glycerins; (c) at least one hydrotrope; and (d) water. The cosmetic composition according to the present invention has a dispersed phase which has a smaller diameter due to a combination of the (b) polyglyceryl fatty acid ester and the (c) hydrotrope. Therefore, the cosmetic composition can be in the form of a nano- or micro-emulsion with transparent or slightly translucent.
