  • Publication number: 20200341599
Abstract: A user device incorporates a user interface platform that combines user notifications and various operational settings as part of a common display region. The notifications and settings are separated from one another, and the user interface dynamically adjusts the arrangement of these features to make it convenient for a user to quickly see the information and to manage it. The setting information may incorporate user logins, network and communication data, display and audio information, as well as other settings. And the application-related notifications may include information about active applications such as an email account, audio or video calls, texting apps, social media platforms, calendars, music players, video players, and the like. In response to a new notification, the system may consolidate the operational settings into core settings information. The system may also auto collapse (or expand) the notification list when a new notification is received.

  • Publication number: 20200297455
Abstract: A dental treatment system can include a console, a tooth coupler, and an interface member that provides at least one of fluidic, electrical, mechanical, and data communication between the tooth coupler and the console. The tooth coupler (which may comprise a handpiece or a treatment cap) can act as a working end of the system to administer a suitable treatment procedure, such as a cleaning procedure, an obturation procedure, a restoration procedure, etc. The tooth coupler can removably engage the interface member such that the clinician can easily engage and disengage the tooth coupler and interface member.

  • Publication number: 20200197131
Abstract: Orthodontic systems and related methods are disclosed for designing and providing improved or more effective tooth moving systems for eliciting a desired tooth movement and/or repositioning teeth into a desired arrangement. Methods and orthodontic systems include the generation of an overcorrection in the tooth-receiving cavities of an appliance worn in the dentition. The overcorrection may provide an improved and more accurately applied force or moment applied to a tooth. The overcorrected force or moment can move a tooth closer to a desired position than if not overcorrected as sufficient force can still applied to the tooth as it gets closer to the desired position. The overcorrected force or moment may also better target the root of the tooth where the biological response to tooth movement occurs. The overcorrection may be calculated in various ways as described herein.

  • Patent number: 10613748
Abstract: Methods for providing information related to selected content and a suggested completion of one or more written words are provided. In one aspect, a method includes invoking an assistant tool, displaying an assistant window on a device display, receiving an indication of a selection of content on the display, generating a query for information associated with the selected content, receiving ranked results from the query, and displaying the received results in the assistant window. In one aspect, a snapshot of the selected content is captured and displayed with the results. In one aspect, a method includes receiving an indication of one or more words being written on the display and providing at least one suggested completion of a word or sentence being written. Systems and machine-readable media are also provided.

  • Patent number: 10523775
Abstract: Methods and apparatus, including computer program products, are provided for flow control. In one aspect, there is provided a method, wherein the method may include monitoring, by an external flow controller, a workflow at a first cloud application to determine whether at least one condition is satisfied to extend the workflow to a second cloud application external to the first cloud application; diverting, by the external flow controller, when the at least one condition is satisfied; handling, by the external flow controller, a request to divert the workflow to the second cloud application by at least formatting the request in accordance with configuration information at the external flow controller; sending, by the external flow controller, the workflow to the second cloud application; receiving, by the external flow controller, a result to incorporate into the workflow at the first cloud application; and/or proceeding with the workflow at the first cloud application.

  • Publication number: 20190179934
Abstract: A method for validating structured data may include receiving, at a structured data validation engine and from a first client, a first request to validate an electronic document comprising structured data. The structured data validation engine may respond to the first request by at least identifying a set of validation rules for validating the structured data comprising the electronic document. The set of validation rules may be identified based at least on one or more attributes associated with the electronic document. The structured data validation engine may send, to a database storing a plurality of validation rules, one or more database queries to retrieve, from the database, a first validation rule included in the set of validation rules. The structured data may be validated by at least applying the first validation rule to the structured data. Related systems and articles of manufacture are also provided.

  • Publication number: 20190018827
Abstract: Aspects of the subject technology relate to systems and methods for instant insert of external content into a content-editor application. An assistant application is provided, separate from the content-editor application, that can identify, obtain, and insert the external content into the content-editor application. The assistant application can identify the external content responsive to a user request while the user is inputting or editing content in the content-editor application and/or the assistant can provide predictive options for insertion of content based on the already input content by the user. As one example, the assistant can insert a photo related to text the user has recently typed into the content-editor application. The assistant may obtain the photo from a public source such a public web server or from a local database for the user.

  • Publication number: 20180300997
Abstract: A haptic device comprises a signal generator that is configured to receive an input word that is a unit of a language. The signal generator converts the input word into one or more phonemes of the input word. The signal generator further converts the one or more phonemes into a sequence of actuator signals. The sequence of actuator signals is formed from a concatenation of sub-sequences of actuator signals. Each phoneme corresponding to a unique sub-sequence of actuator signals. The haptic device further comprises a two dimensional array of cutaneous actuators configured to receive the sequence of actuator signals from the signal generator, each of the actuator signals mapped to a cutaneous actuator of the two dimensional array of cutaneous actuators.
