Abstract: Various communication systems may benefit from improved network signaling or attachment. A method, in certain embodiments, may include receiving at a network node an initial attachment request message from a user equipment. The method may also include issuing a back-off timer when accepting the initial attachment request from the user equipment. The back-off timer may include a duration of time in which the user equipment is not allowed to reattach to a network. In addition, the method may include receiving at the network node another attachment request message from the user equipment. Further, the method may include determining whether the duration of the back-off timer has lapsed, and rejecting the another attachment request from the user equipment when the duration of time of the back-off timer has not lapsed.

Abstract: Embodiments include a computer-implemented method for storing comments received at a collaboration page of a content collaboration system in a hierarchical relationship that corresponds to the comments position in a comments field. The method can include receiving a comment at a user interface displaying the collaboration page and creating a thread identification string for the comment having a set of string portions. The method can also include obtaining a comment index file comprising an ordered list of previously-entered comments having respective thread identification strings, adding the comment and thread identification string to the ordered list of previously-entered comments at a location indicated by the thread identification string, designating a pagination of the ordered list of previously-entered comments in the comment index file in accordance with a fixed number of simultaneously viewable lines, and displaying a subset of the ordered list of previously-entered comments in the comment field.

Abstract: Techniques for security management in communication systems are provided. For example, a method comprises receiving, from user equipment, a request indicating one or more security capabilities of the user equipment. The method also comprises determining whether the indicated one or more security capabilities meet one or more designated criteria of a communication network, and rejecting the request by the user equipment responsive to determining that the indicated one or more security capabilities do not meet the one or more designated criteria of the communication network. For example, the request is rejected when it is determined that the user equipment does not support any encryption and/or integrity algorithms, or fails to support mandatory encryption and/or integrity algorithms. This serves to prevent malicious user equipment from gaining access to the communication network.

Abstract: Embodiments of the disclosure include a miniature optical PM sensor module. A miniature optical particulate matter sensor module may comprise a housing; a micro airflow generator positioned within the housing; an actuator positioned adjacent to the micro airflow generator and configured to drive the micro airflow generator; a miniature particulate matter sensor board assembly in fluid communication with the micro airflow generator; and a flex cable assembly configured to attach to at least one of the housing and the miniature particulate matter sensor board assembly.

Abstract: Systems and methods that provide NAS security protection for mobile networks. In one embodiment, a network element of a mobile network performs a NAS procedure in multiple phases to establish a NAS communication session with User Equipment (UE) when no NAS security context exists. For a first phase, the network element receives an initial NAS message from the UE populated with a subset of NAS protocol Information Elements (IEs) designated for security-related handling, selects a NAS security algorithm for the NAS security context, and sends a response to the UE that indicates the NAS security algorithm. For a second phase, the network element receives a subsequent NAS message from the UE having a NAS message container that contains the initial NAS message populated with each of the NAS protocol IEs for the NAS procedure, and decrypts the NAS message container of the subsequent NAS message using the NAS security algorithm.

Abstract: This application relates to session establishment by user equipment over a plurality of heterogenous access networks. In one aspect, the heterogenous access networks may include 3GPP and non-3GPP access networks (106). The non-3GPP access networks (106) may include one or more non-3GPP trusted access networks (108) or one or non-3GPP, non-trusted access networks (110).

Abstract: A non-access stratum (NAS) control protocol includes procedures for control plane cellular internet of things (CP-CIoT) service requests and attach requests. A user equipment (UE) in idle mode may transmit an NAS service request message including user data to a mobility management entity (MME) over the control plane. The MME extracts the user data from the NAS service request message and determines a type of the user data. The MME may forward non-IP data to a Service Capability Exposure Function (SCEF) and forward IP data to a packet gateway.

Abstract: Disclosed embodiments may relate generally to a micro airflow generator which does not use fan(s) or a heater to generate airflow (for example in a compact optical PM sensor). Rather, disclosed embodiments typically may use induced movement of a membrane/diaphragm element to generate air flow (wherein movement of the membrane in turn induces movement in air). For example, a membrane or diaphragm element could be driven by an (electronic) actuator element, such as an electro-magnetic actuator or piezo disc bender (or some other means of vibrating/moving the membrane element in a way which induced airflow). In some embodiments, the electro-magnetic actuator itself may include a membrane (such that the electro-magnetic actuator might encompass the membrane and the electronic actuator element, such as a magnet and corresponding coil) and/or the piezo disc bender might serve as both the membrane/diaphragm and the electronic actuator element.

Abstract: A content provider can provide content, such as advertisements or other promotional material, to a recipient. A distribution system of the content provider can receive a query and select one or more advertisements and a user interface for presenting the advertisements based on the query, information associated with the user, a set of queries received from the user, and/or other information. A model for selecting the user interface can be generated by serving available user interfaces randomly or pseudo-randomly and monitoring user interaction with the served user interfaces. The model can be updated during regular use based on the performance of the user interfaces.

Abstract: Systems and methods that update configuration parameters on a UE using control plane functionalities. In one embodiment, an AMF element of a mobile network receives a control plane message from a UDM element that includes a UE configuration parameter update for the UE. The UE configuration parameter update is security protected via a secured packet, integrity protection, etc. The AMF element is configured to transparently send the UE configuration parameter update to the UE. Thus, AMF element inserts the UE configuration parameter update (that is security protected) in a container of a Non-Access Stratum (NAS) message, and sends the NAS message to the UE. The UE may then update its configuration parameters based on the update when security checks are complete.

Abstract: An interworking function in a core network system, such as a 5G core network, attempts to establish a secure association with user equipment (UE) in an untrusted access network. When the secure association is not accepted by the 5G core network, the UE receives from the core network a response including a message type indicating that Non-3GPP access to the 5G core network is not allowed. Upon receiving the response message, the UE ends the session by sending a 5G-Stop message formatted in an Extensible Authentication Protocol (EAP) response. The EAP-Response/5G-Stop message includes a message-id field with a 5G Stop value.

The method further includes causing the warning message, as transformed, to be transmitted via a second interface, different than the first interface, to an access and mobility management function (AMF) for transmission to a radio access network.

Abstract: User equipment receives and stores configuration information for selection of an evolved packet data gateway (ePDG). The ePDG configuration information includes one or more parameters relating to identification and functions of ePDGs in an HPLMN and/or in one or more VPLMNs. When the UE performs ePDG selection, the UE accesses the ePDG configuration information and then selects an ePDG for access to a core packet network using the ePDG configuration information.
