Abstract: Provided are a remote controller and a method of controlling the remote controller, wherein the remote controller is operable to be in one of a first operating mode or a second operating mode, and which is connectable to a docking station, the remote controller including: an internal display screen, which displays at least one digital image; and a controller which may be operable to change between the first and second operating modes, wherein if the remote controller is connected to the docking station and if the remote controller is in the second operating mode, the controller controls the remote controller to change to the first operating mode to provide predetermined multimedia content.

Abstract: A display apparatus and a method for scheduling a broadcast using the same. Abstract: An on screen display (OSD) apparatus and a method for displaying a menu on the OSD apparatus are provided. The ODS apparatus includes: a memory module which stores a system program and data for a first region, where the data for the first region includes a plurality of first menu items; a screen which displays the first region; an input device which generates signals for displaying the first region on the screen; and a controller which divides the first region into a first sub-region and a second sub-region by using the system program, upon receipt of signals from an input device, and which displays the first sub-region and the second sub-region at different heights on the screen.

Abstract: Disclosed are a main image processing apparatus, a sub image processing apparatus and a control method thereof. The control method of the sub image processing apparatus includes receiving a user's touch input through the sub image processing apparatus; determining which contents correspond to a touched area where the touch input occurs; sensing change in location of the touch input; and transmitting a control command for the contents to the main image processing apparatus in response to the sensed change in the location of the touch input. With this, it is more convenient for a user to control the main image processing apparatus through the sub image processing apparatus supporting the touch input.

Abstract: A method for providing a graphical user interface (GUI) and an electronic device using the method are provided. The method includes forming one or more groups of GUI items other than a GUI item selected by a user, moving the GUI items in the one or more groups, and enlarging and displaying the selected item on an area formed by movement of the GUI items. Therefore, it is possible to provide a GUI which enables easy manipulation and which is displayed with superior visual effect on a screen that is relatively small in size.

Abstract: Disclosed is a method and apparatus for displaying a contents list. The method includes: displaying a loading image, which is preset for displaying, on a loading region to display a thumbnail image corresponding to contents of the loading image, wherein the loading image corresponds to the thumbnail images; animating the loading image displayed in the loading region; and displaying the thumbnail image in the loading region, by substituting the thumbnail image for the loading image.

Abstract: An on-screen-display (OSD) item displaying method and a display apparatus applying the OSD item displaying method. In the method an OSD menu containing a plurality of OSD items is displayed on an OSD menu display area, and when an event occurs, an event OSD item associated with the event may be displayed using the OSD menu display area and a content display area. Therefore, the display apparatus can selectively display the OSD menu on the content display area, which enables a user to more easily recognize important information.

Abstract: A method for providing a Graphical User Interface (GUI) for changing a reproducing time point, and an imaging apparatus incorporating the same are provided. The GUI for changing a reproducing time point displays reduction images of specific time points within a time period including a specific time point selected by a pointer, and changes the reproducing time point to the time point represented by the reduction image selected from the displayed reduction images. Accordingly, a user is able to search for a desired time point without going through a plurality of manipulations to change the reproducing time point on the progress bar using the pointer.

Abstract: A method for providing Graphical User Interface (GUI) for selecting a broadcast channel, and a broadcast receiving apparatus having the same are provided. The GUI for selecting a broadcast channel includes a keypad having a pointer to be moved by manipulation of a user on a remote control apparatus and keys selectable by the pointer, and then the user is able to input a preferred broadcast channel by using the keypad and the pointer. Accordingly, even when using an image apparatus such as a TV receiving a command of a user by the input of the keys on the remote control, a user can generate a file list more easily.
