Patent number: 8102314Abstract: The invention relates to a position-finding method for determing the location of a mobile object. The features, for example received field strengths, of a plurality of base stations are measured, and the object position is located from these features, using a reference map. During an initialization process, a reference map is created which comprises a multiplicity of positions and the associated feature-dependent values. During use of the method, a plurality of position-finding processes are carried out, by means of each of which a measured feature-dependent value and from this, a located position of the object, are determined using the predetermined reference map. The predetermined reference map is in each case updated for at least some of the positions found, during which updates, the feature-dependent values are each corrected by a correction term at the support points of the reference map in a predetermined area surrounding an object position.Type: GrantFiled: December 12, 2006Date of Patent: January 24, 2012Assignee: Siemens Enterprise Communications GmbH & Co. KGInventors: Joachim Bamberger, Bruno Betoni Parodi, Joachim Horn, Henning Lenz, Andrei Szabo

Publication number: 20060234722Abstract: To determine a position of a mobile communications device within a communications network (localization). possible location areas for the mobile communications device are determined from communications signals of the mobile communications device by using base stations located within the communication network, and these possible location areas are superimposed to form a common location area while using a non-linear quantity-based filter. The position of the mobile communications device is then determined while using the common locations area.Type: ApplicationFiled: April 8, 2003Publication date: October 19, 2006Inventors: Uwe Hanebeck, Werner Hauptmann, Kai Heesche, Joachim Horn, Konrad Riegel, Klaus Riegel (Erbe), Gertraud Riegel (Erbe)

Patent number: 6814013Abstract: In the process for treating incineration residues from waste incineration plants, the incineration material is incinerated on a furnace grate. The incineration residues produced are quenched in a wet slag remover and conveyed out of the latter. The wet incineration residues which come out of the wet slag remover are firstly divided into two fractions by means of a screening operation, after which the main fraction is washed with water taken from the wet slag remover, and in the process adhering fine pieces are separated off. The washed pieces of the incineration residues are fed for reuse. The washing water together with the ultra fine pieces which have been taken up during the washing operation pass into the wet slag remover. The fine fraction produced during the mechanical separation operation is fed back to the incineration operation.Type: GrantFiled: March 27, 2003Date of Patent: November 9, 2004Assignees: Martin GmbH für Umwelt-und Energietechnik, Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, Ltd.Inventors: Johannes Martin, Oliver Gohlke, Joachim Horn, Michael Busch

Patent number: 6559661Abstract: A circuit arrangement is described for compensating temperature non-linearity of the characteristics of piezoresistive, metallic or polycrystalline resistors (bridge resistors) connected in a bridge circuit, the non-linearities being caused by non-linearities of the resistors, in particular due to the physical quantities affecting the bridge circuit (temperature, pressure, bimetal effects, non-linear membrane stresses), and the resistors being composed of partial resistors having different temperature coefficients, with each of the partial resistors having a certain linear and non-linear temperature response. The partial resistors of each bridge resistor are selected on the basis of their known linear and non-linear temperature characteristics so that an asymmetric layout of the bridge circuit is obtained and a non-linear variation of a bridge output voltage of the circuit arrangement can be essentially compensated.Type: GrantFiled: July 18, 2001Date of Patent: May 6, 2003Assignee: Robert Bosch GmbHInventors: Joerg Muchow, Joachim Horn, Oliver Schatz
