  • Publication number: 20020139635
Abstract: A clutch actuation system includes an actuator drive for actuating the clutch, and a position control circuit having a controller determining a position of the clutch and to which a position setpoint value is fed and a measurement signal, representing the position, of a sensor is fed as an actual value. A filter that filters interference oscillations out of the position signal is inserted into the position control circuit. The stop band of the filter depends adaptively on the rotational speed of the drive engine of the motor vehicle, in particular, the stop band corresponds to the speed.

The motor vehicle seat (26) includes a seat cushion (27), a backrest (29), and a gap (33) being located between the seat cushion (27) and the backrest (29). The seat cover (1) includes a front layer (7) made of plastic film and extending along the seat cushion (27) and the backrest (29). A rear layer (8) made of plastic film is connected to the front layer (7) by transverse welding seams (9, 19). A backrest pocket (6) receives at least a portion of the backrest (29). The backrest pocket (6) is formed by the front layer (7) and the rear layer (8). A seat pocket (5) for the receives at least a portion of the seat cushion (27). The seat pocket (5) is formed by the front layer (7) and the rear layer (8). A strip-shaped (34) extension is connected to one of the layers (7, 8) and it is designed and arranged to be moved through the gap (33).

  • Patent number: 5911476
Abstract: A seat cover (1) is shown for protecting a motor vehicle seat (26), the seat cover being made from an at least double-layered piece of plastic, in particular for the single use in car workshops, comprising a front layer (7) extending over and protecting the seating (28) and the backrest surface (30) of the seat (26) and a rear layer (8) connected with the front layer by transverse welding (9, 19) and together with the front layer (7) forming a backrest pocket (6) for the reception of at least a part of the backrest (29) and forming a seat pocket (5) for the reception of at least a part of the seat cushion (27). The rear layer (8) forming part of the seat pocket (5) comprises a protecting strip (12) in U-form formed by a cutout (11) and surrounding the sides of the seat cushion (27), and the part of the front layer (7) adapted to the gap (33) between the backrest (29) and the seat cushion (27) comprises at both sides a protecting element (17) each to cover the link regions (32) of the seat (26).

  • Patent number: 5762008
Abstract: A method for burning fuels, particularly garbage, in incinerators with a stoker grate, for which the primary air is supplied below the stoker grate into the fuel layer and the secondary air is supplied above the fuel layer, is controlled in such a way that the intensity of the combustion of the fuel on the stoker grate is increased by increasing the oxygen content of the primary air and the intensity of the combustion in the secondary combustion zone is choked by decreasing the oxygen content in the secondary air. Flue gas, preferably from the combustion process, is recirculated in order to reduce the oxygen content of the secondary air.

  • Patent number: 5606924
Abstract: To carry out a process for regulating individual factors or all factors influencing combustion on a furnace grate, a radar device is provided primarily. This radar device serves to detect the three-dimensional distribution of the fuel mass on at least one preferred region of the grate. In addition, an infrared camera is provided for supplying information on the burn-up behavior of the fuel located on the grate. By using the measured quantities obtained from these two devices, control variables may be derived within a regulating unit for influencing the grate speed, the charging device, the amount and composition of supplied primary air, the amount and composition of supplied secondary air, the speed of the ash roller and the temperature of the air preheating device so that the furnace performance can be adapted to the steam output requirement.

  • Patent number: 5395142
Abstract: Welding joint (18,22) connecting workpieces (19,20,24,29) having a throughlet (25) comprising a weld (21,34) wherein a backing sleeve (10,28) is held within the workpieces (19,20,24,29) in the region of the weld. The welding joint comprises a partition layer (15,33) of a non-weldable material between the workpieces (19,20,24,29), the weld (21,34) and the backing sleeve (10,28), resulting in a welding joint easy to establish and of improved strength and fatigue resistance.

  • Patent number: 4776193
Abstract: The invention relates to a method of making flange half shells and flanges made therefrom, whereby an optimum arrangement of the flanges should be obtained with respect to their use, for this purpose the flange half shells (1) are held together by means of clamps (2), whereby the clamps (2) engage into associated suitable slots (3) which are provided in the flange half shells (1). Furthermore, the flange half shells are extruded from a strand and therefore obtain a hardness which is adapted to the hardness of the mounting screws.

  • Patent number: 4758061
Abstract: In a method for converging the ends of two light waveguides, light energy is coupled into one light wave guide and a portion thereof is coupled out of the other light waveguide. This in and out coupling of the light is undertaken during the axial displacement of one of the light waveguides, whereby the light energy coupled out is continuously measured during the axial displacement. A control signal which is employed for terminating the longitudinal displacement is derived from the discontinuous change in the wave form of the measured light energy coupled out, which discontinuous change occurs at the time of contact between the end faces of the two light waveguides.

  • Patent number: 4660266
Abstract: A split-flange connector is made by first rolling a strand of steel into an elongated bar having a rolled planar face formed centrally with a semicylindrical groove extending parallel to the face. This bar is then cut perpendicularly to the face into at least two identical sections of a predetermined length. At least one bore offset from and parallel to the groove is drilled through each bar section. The two sections are clipped together with the faces abutting flatly and the grooves forming a cylindrical passage.
