  • Publication number: 20230070978
Abstract: An improved rail anchoring spike that includes a conical swell adapted to engage with a hole in a metal tie plate during fastening of the metal tie plate to a tie. The conical swell has a smaller diameter toward a pointed end of the spike and a larger diameter toward a head of the spike. The smaller diameter is slightly larger than a diameter of a body of the spike. An angle formed by the conical swell relative to a center line passing through a center of the body of the spike matches an angle of the hole in the metal tie plate relative to a center of the hole.

  • Patent number: 11567627
Abstract: Systems and methods for displaying a cursor and a focus indicator associated with real or virtual objects in a virtual, augmented, or mixed reality environment by a wearable display device are disclosed. The system can determine a spatial relationship between a user-movable cursor and a target object within the environment. The system may render a focus indicator (e.g., a halo, shading, or highlighting) around or adjacent objects that are near the cursor. When the cursor overlaps with a target object, the system can render the object in front of the cursor (or not render the cursor at all), so the object is not occluded by the cursor. The object can be rendered closer to the user than the cursor. A group of virtual objects can be scrolled, and a virtual control panel can be displayed indicating objects that are upcoming in the scroll.

  • Publication number: 20220398606
Abstract: A shopping tracking assembly includes a data server that stores a list of items being sold in a retail environment. A panel is included that is attachable to a shopping cart, and a housing is coupled to the panel. A tracking unit is integrated into the housing and the tracking unit is in wireless communication with a tracking device on a retail item that is placed into the shopping car. The tracking unit is in wireless communication with the data server thereby facilitating the data server to compile a list of each retail item that has been place into the shopping cart. Moreover, the data server communicates the list of each retail item to a point of sale device to inhibit any retail item from being removed from the retail environment without paying for the retail item.

  • Patent number: 11520477
Abstract: Systems and methods for displaying a group of virtual objects and a scrollbar in a virtual, augmented, or mixed reality environment are disclosed. The group of virtual objects can be scrolled, and a virtual control panel can be displayed indicating objects that are upcoming in the scroll. The scrollbar can provide real-time feedback that can give the user an indication of the point from which the scrolling started, the point at which the scrolling currently has reached, an amount of the group of virtual objects that are displayed to the user relative to the total amount of the group of virtual objects, or a relative position of the currently-viewable virtual objects relative to the entire group of virtual objects.

  • Patent number: 11467044
Abstract: A system includes a conditioning circuit, resistors connected to pins of the conditioning circuit, and measurement sensors connected to pins of the conditioning circuit. The conditioning circuit is configured to determine resistance values of the resistors and to determine a set of addresses for the measurement sensors based upon a combination of the resistance values of the resistors.

  • Patent number: 11451234
Abstract: A delay locked loop (DLL) circuit that includes a delay line, a pattern injecting circuit, a pattern detecting circuit and a counter is introduced. The delay line may align a phase of a reference clock signal with a phase of a feedback clock signal. The pattern injecting circuit injects a predetermined pattern to the reference clock signal to generate an injected reference clock signal and asserts the injected reference clock signal to the delay line. The pattern detecting circuit detects the predetermined pattern in the feedback clock signal. The counter determines a delay of the delay locked loop circuit according to a first timing when the injected reference clock signal is asserted to the delay line and a second timing when the predetermined pattern is detected in the feedback clock signal. A method of measuring a delay of the DLL circuit is also introduced.

The system can determine a spatial relationship between a user-movable cursor and a target object within the environment. The system may render a focus indicator (e.g., a halo, shading, or highlighting) around or adjacent objects that are near the cursor. The focus indicator may be emphasized in directions closer to the cursor and deemphasized in directions farther from the cursor. When the cursor overlaps with a target object, the system can render the object in front of the cursor (or not render the cursor at all), so the object is not occluded by the cursor. The cursor and focus indicator can provide the user with positional feedback and help the user navigate among objects in the environment.

  • Patent number: 11333841
Abstract: An enclosure configured to simultaneously accommodate different connectorization applications includes a backplate and a bulkhead bracket and splice retention clips coupled to the backplate. The bulkhead bracket includes openings configured to house adapters for a first connecterized application. The splice retention clips are configured to accommodate one or more of a fusion splice protector and a mechanical splice for a second connecterized application. The bulkhead bracket, with or without an adapter, is configured to be uncoupled from the backplate to allow access to the splice retention clips for insertion or deletion of the fusion splice protector or the mechanical splice. The bulkhead bracket is configured to be recoupled with the backplate and over the splice retention clips.

  • Publication number: 20220100266
Abstract: A wearable computing system that includes a head-mounted display implements a gaze timer feature for enabling the user to temporarily extend the functionality of a handheld controller or other user input device. In one embodiment, when the user gazes at, or in the vicinity of, a handheld controller for a predetermined period of time, the functionality of one or more input elements (e.g., buttons) of the handheld controller is temporarily modified. For example, the function associated with a particular controller button may be modified to enable the user to open a particular menu using the button. The gaze timer feature may, for example, be used to augment the functionality of a handheld controller or other user input device during mixed reality and/or augmented reality sessions.

  • Publication number: 20210107623
Abstract: A general mounting method for ducted fan propulsors is disclosed. This mounting method uses extremely slender stators that connect the duct ring to the propulsor which is mounted in the middle and drives the rotor, fan or propeller. The slender stators take the form of spokes and as such are so slender that the midspan stresses within the spokes are dominated by axial tension loads rather than the shear loads experienced by conventional stators. The spokes may have an aerodynamic shape and damping methods may be used to retard spoke vibrations and transmission of engine vibrations to the duct and force. The duct itself is also stiffened by the spoke arrangement, thereby reducing low frequency vibration modes.

  • Publication number: 20210060897
Abstract: Embodiments of the present disclosure relate to a magnetic body support product, such as a foam mattress topper or a foam pillow, having a plurality of magnets encapsulated therein. In one embodiment, the magnetic body support product includes a first foam layer, a second foam layer secured to the first foam layer, and a plurality of flexible magnetic materials encapsulated by the first foam layer and the second foam layer. The flexible magnets provide health benefits to a user laying on the magnetic. The first foam layer and the second foam layer enable the user to lay on either side of the magnetic body support product without feeling the plurality of magnetic materials.
