  • Patent number: 11055217
Abstract: Techniques are disclosed for identifying multiple sections from one or more tracks of a media file and reading them together in a consumption-driven pipeline process. A render pipeline may comprise a sample generator, a sample buffer, and a destination buffer. Multiple render pipelines may be used for parsing multiple tracks of the media file. An I/O manager may determine that a destination buffer requires new data. The I/O manager may schedule a memory read for a data element from the sample buffer corresponding to the destination buffer and may determine if any of the sample buffers have data elements with memory locations close to the scheduled read. If so, the I/O manager may also schedule those memory locations to be read. After reading, the filled data elements corresponding to the read memory may then be sent to their corresponding destination buffers to be consumed and added to their corresponding tracks.

  • Patent number: 10986384
Abstract: A video application executing on a client device allows a user to modify video data captured by the client device. The video application allows the user to transmit the video data to a viewing client device for presentation to a viewing user. For example, the video application transmits the video data to an online system, which transmits the video data to the viewing client device. The viewing user provides a request to modify the video data to the viewing client device, which transmits the request to the online system. Based on the request from the viewing client device, the online system identifies a modification to the video data to the client device, which modifies the captured video data accordingly. The modified video data is provided from the client device to the viewing client device via the online system.

  • Publication number: 20210099569
Abstract: In aspects of gesture detection based on device form factor, a device includes gesture detection algorithms from which gestures are detectable based on device configurations. The device implements a gesture module to determine a form factor of the device as one of the device configurations, and select a gesture detection algorithm that corresponds to the form factor. The gesture module then utilizes the selected gesture detection algorithm to detect a gesture performed by a user holding the device in the device form factor. Additionally, the gesture module can determine a change in the device form factor. The gesture module can then replace the gesture detection algorithm with a different gesture detection algorithm, or replace parameter values in the gesture detection algorithm with respective updated parameter values, which are then usable to detect another instance of the gesture performed by the user holding the device in the changed form factor.

  • Publication number: 20210066848
Abstract: In a particular implementation, an electric power device includes a body, a receptacle configured to receive a plug, and a source connector configured to be coupled to a power source. The electric power device further includes a casing coupled to the body and movable with respect to the body between a first position in which the casing defines an enclosed chamber and access to the receptacle is inhibited and a second position in which the casing is configurable to enable access to the receptacle for receipt of the plug. A transition from the first position to the second position is configured to cause the receptacle to be electrically decoupled from the source connector when the casing is at the second position, and a transition from the second position to the first position is configured to cause the receptacle to be electrically coupled to the source connector when the casing is at the first position.

  • Patent number: 10852945
Abstract: The present disclosure is directed toward systems and methods for enabling a user to manage a social media account via low-data messages. The systems and methods may include receiving a low-data message from a client device, analyzing the low-data message, generating a social media object relating to the low-data message, and adding the social media object to a social media account of a social networking system. Furthermore, the systems and methods may include detecting a user interaction with the social media object, generating a second low-data message describing the user interaction, providing the second low-data message to the client device, and receiving a third low-data message from the client device. Moreover, the systems and methods include generating a response social media object relating to the third low-data message and adding the response social media object to the social media account within the social networking system.

  • Patent number: 10769359
Abstract: A processor may receive a data submission made through the UI. The data submission may lack data in at least one blank field provided in the UI for entering information in which no information has been entered. The processor may classify the data submission as having at least one data submission type using at least one machine learning (ML) process. The processor may determine at least one required field for the at least one data submission type. The at least one required field may require information to be entered therein. The processor may determine that the at least one blank field is also the at least one required field. The processor may cause the UI to indicate that the at least one blank field is also the at least one required field.
