  • Publication number: 20110184128
Abstract: A thermoplastic composition is prepared by melt blending a poly(arylene ether) and an other resin, where the poly(arylene ether) has a particular molecular weight distribution. The thermoplastic composition exhibits significantly increased melt flow compared to compositions containing poly(arylene ether)s with similar intrinsic viscosities but different molecular weight distributions. The increased melt flow facilitates preparation of the thermoplastic composition and subsequent article fabrication procedures.

  • Publication number: 20090174002
Abstract: Source and drain extension regions are selectively removed by a dopant concentration dependent etch or a doping type dependent etch, and an embedded stress-generating material such as SiGe alloy or a Si:C alloy in the source and drain extension regions is grown on a semiconductor substrate. The embedded stress-generating material may be grown only in the source and drain extension regions, or in the source and drain extension regions and in deep source and drain regions. In one embodiment, an etch process that removes doped semiconductor regions of one conductivity type selective to doped semiconductor regions of another conductivity type may be employed. In another embodiment, a dopant concentration dependent etch process that removes doped semiconductor regions irrespective of the conductivity type selective to undoped semiconductor regions may be employed.

  • Publication number: 20080222136
Abstract: An approach for providing compression of a database table that uses a compiled table algorithm (CTA) that provides leverage. Data within any given column in adjacent rows is often the same as or closely related to its neighbors. Rather than storing data in each column of each row as a specific integer, floating point, or character data value, a field reconstruction instruction is stored that when executed by a decompression engine can reconstruct the data value. The field reconstruction instruction may be bit granular and may depend upon past history given that the data compression engine may preserve state as row data is streamed off a storage device.

  • Publication number: 20080014191
Abstract: The present invention is directed to preventing the consequences of the misfolding of proteins, such as those associated with protein folding diseases. • Publication number: 20070226962
Abstract: The present invention is directed toward a safety belt web adjuster that incorporates a sliding middle horizontal member around which the lower section of webbing is looped. This allows the webbing section to be trapped between two bars, one sliding and one fixed. The web adjuster of the present invention also allows for relatively easy adjustment of safety belt tension by moving the web adjuster through approximately 90 degrees of motion, thereby removing the bearing force on the webbing previously supplied by the fixed member, allowing the slack in the safety belt to be easily adjusted.

  • Patent number: RE39717
Abstract: A services provision system provides information services over one or more communications networks and has a software infrastructure divided into domains. Each domain has an intelligent software agent and this community of agents sits in a computing environment represented in each domain by a DPE kernel. The community of agents co-operates to provide service and service management functionality to user. At least one of the agents is reconfigurable to change the functionality the system makes available. Reconfigurability is based on the use of a plurality of reusable software modules, the agent reconfiguring by selecting a new combination of modules. The software modules themselves incorporate rules, or policies, which determine process steps offered by the modules at run-time. These policies are external to the modules and may be loaded at run-time, allowing dynamic modification to functionality of the system.
