  • Patent number: 11910890
Abstract: In one or more arrangements, an umbrella system includes a support pole connected to a rotating tube positioned around a center tube that extends between the support pole and a upper hub that is connected to an umbrella frame. The rotating tube has one or more helical grooves therein that are engaged by a lower hub which is connected to the umbrella frame. As the rotating tube is rotated, the lower hub is driven along the length of the rotating tube, thereby opening and closing the umbrella frame. In one or more arrangements, the system includes a rotational lock assembly configured to prevent rotation of the rotating tube when locked and permit rotation of the rotating tube when unlocked. In one or more arrangements, the system includes a counterbalance assembly that provides a counterbalance force positioned within a upper hub of the umbrella frame.

  • Publication number: 20240054048
Abstract: A system related to providing multi-layer code rates for special event protection with reduced performance penalty for memories is disclosed. Based on an impending stress event, extra error correction code data is utilized to encode user data obtained from a host. The user data and first error correction code data are written to a first block and the extra error correction code data is written to a second block. Upon stress event completion, pages having user data with the extra error correction code data are scanned. If pages of the first block are unable to satisfy reliability requirements, a touch-up process is executed on each page in the first block to reinstate the first block so that the extra error correction code data is no longer needed. The extra error correction code data is deleted from the second block and the second block is made available for user data.

  • Publication number: 20240048493
Abstract: Mobile management method, system and client. The method includes receiving a DNS query for a host name from an application on a client; retrieving reputation data associated with the host name from a local cache on the client; determining a policy for the host name, which is associated with the host name and the reputation data associated with the host name; based on the determined policy for the host name, blocking attempted network flows to a host corresponding to the host name; sending at least attempted network flow metadata related to the blocked attempted network flows to a collector on the client; and transmitting the attempted network flow metadata in the collector to a VPN server pool via a VPN tunnel.

  • Publication number: 20240037044
Abstract: Devices and techniques for efficient obfuscated logical-to-physical mapping are described herein. For example, activity corresponding to obfuscated regions of an L2P map for a memory device can be tracked. A record of discontinuity between the obfuscated regions and L2P mappings resulting from the activity can be updated. The obfuscated regions can be ordered based on a level of discontinuity from the record of discontinuity. When an idle period is identified, an obfuscated region from the obfuscated regions is selected and refreshed based on the ordering.

  • Publication number: 20240020033
Abstract: Apparatus and methods are disclosed, including using a memory controller to partition a memory array into a first portion and a second portion, the first portion and second portion having non-overlapping logical block addressing (LBA) ranges. The memory controller assigns a first granularity of a first logical-to-physical (L2P) mapping table entry for the first portion of the memory array designated for a first usage, and a second granularity of a second L2P mapping table entry for the second portion of the memory array designated for a second usage, where the second granularity is not equal to the first granularity. The memory controller stores the first granularity and the second granularity in the memory array, and stores at least a portion of the first L2P mapping table entry and the second L2P mapping table entry in an L2P cache of the memory controller.

  • Publication number: 20240009552
Abstract: Various embodiments provide systems and methods for live action gaming. According to one embodiment, a method facilitates scoring for an in-person, live-action game, for example, a projectile-tag scoring game or the like, involving multiple players. A gaming outfit worn by a first player or a projectile launcher of a second player may determine a shot hit by the second player against the first player based at least in part on detection of an impact of a projectile fired by the projectile launcher with the gaming outfit. A score for the in-person, live-action game may then be updated based on the shot hit.

  • Publication number: 20240009382
Abstract: A detachable component of a wearable medical device in accordance with an embodiment of the present technology includes a housing and a latch operably associated with the housing. The latch includes a cam having a first position at which the cam projects outwardly from the housing, a second position at which the cam is shifted inwardly relative to the first position, and a third position at which the cam is shifted inwardly relative to the second position. The cam is resiliently biased from the second position toward the first position. Fully actuating the cam moves the cam from the first position to the second position. The detachable component further includes a handle accessible from outside the housing. The handle is movable in an actuating direction to move the cam from the first or second position to the third position.

  • Patent number: 11858350
Abstract: Systems, methods and computer readable storage media provide flexible vehicle status notifications via an instrument cluster displayed on an in-vehicle screen. In some examples, when a non-displayed gauge goes into an out-of-parameter or warning range, the gauge may be dynamically shown in the out-of-parameter or warning state in a container position assigned to the gauge in another display or in a dynamic container position in the instrument cluster. In some examples, a popup notification may be provided to inform the driver of a condition. When there are multiple notifications, they may be grouped into definable severity classifications and prioritized so that a notification determined to be a most important message at the time is presented to the driver in a notification zone central to a driver's field of vision on the instrument cluster that allows for reusing screen space for providing warning and information from a range of data sources.

  • Publication number: 20230408271
Abstract: Systems and methods for real time routing of vehicles. In particular, systems and methods are provided for real time routing of vehicles based on encounters with vulnerable road users. Vehicle perception and communication systems can provide live feedback of vulnerable road user locations. Various vulnerable road user behaviors can be identified by vehicle perception systems and flagged for avoidance in a central mapping system. The feedback can be used to route other fleet vehicles around the vulnerable road users.

  • Patent number: 11844461
Abstract: A roaster for roasting food over a campfire is disclosed. The roaster may include one or more prongs located at the roaster forward end, a knob located at the roaster rear end, a rod attached to the knob, a dispensing plate slideably mounted on the prong(s) and attached to the rod, a longitudinal tube attached to the prong(s), a forward handle, a rear handle, and a spring between the knob and the rear handle and surrounding the rod. The rod may pass fully through the forward and rear handles and the longitudinal tube. The longitudinal tube may pass fully through the forward handle and only partially through the rear handle. Moving the knob and attached rod forwardly may cause the dispensing plate to move along the prong(s). The rear handle, the longitudinal tube, the prong(s), and the dispensing plate rotate relative to the forward handle.
