  • Publication number: 20030193786
Abstract: A circuit carrier assembly includes a plurality of substrates directly secured together by an electrically conductive securing substance. In one example, the securing substance is a conductive epoxy. In another example, the electrically conductive securing substance is solder. Still another example includes a combination of solder and conductive epoxy. A non-conductive epoxy provides further mechanical connection and thermal conductivity between the substrates while also electrically isolating selected portions of the substrates in one example. The electrically conductive securing substance not only mechanically secures the substrates together and provides thermal conductivity between the substrates, which increases the thermal capacitance of the assembly, but also establishes at least one electrically conductive path between the substrates.

  • Patent number: 6605444
Abstract: A method is disclosed for obtaining and/or immunologically detecting an analyte contained in a gas phase by immunologically binding the analyte to a binding partner thereof contained in a gas- and liquid-permeable first carrier matrix. Said method is characterized in that a) the analyte-containing gas phase is brought into contact with the first carrier matrix (immune adsorber), b) the analyte is bound to the first binding partner which is contained in the first matrix and not bound to the matrix, and c) the complex of analyte and first binding partner and the free first binding partner are eluted from the first matrix, d) the eluted complex or the free first binding partner is determined as a measure for the amount of analyte present.

  • Patent number: 5268306
Abstract: A specific binding pair is bound to an insoluble carrier for use in determining an analyte such as in an immunoassay. The carrier is coated with a first polymer containing a protein polymer having a molecular weight of at least about 20,000 and molecules of a first member of a specific binding pair. A second polymer containing a second member of the specific binding pair is bound to the first member on the carrier by binding of the first and second members of the specific binding pair. The first polymer is preferably more hydrophobic than the second polymer. The protein polymer can be prepared by cross-linking hydrophobic protein molecules of 10,000 to 700,000 molecular weight with a bifunctional or polyfunctional compound to obtain a protein polymer of 200,000 to 20,000,000 molecular weight. The second polymer can be the second member of the specific binding pair or the second member cross-linked with a linker or the second member cross-linked to a hydrophobic protein.

  • Patent number: 4729541
Abstract: There is disclosed a formwork for round or polygonal constructions with a formwork face having an adjustable curvature or circumference. The formwork has a chain of booms which are spaced apart from the formwork face and are composed of individual boom portions. The boom portions can be pivoted relative to one another and can be fixed in selected angular positions when the adjustment of the formwork face is completed. The pivot axes for the boom portions are not located at the boom portions themselves but are transposed into the plane of the formwork face so that the formwork and the formwork face are adjusted in assembled condition of the chain of booms. The boom portions, which are spaced apart from the joint axes have couplings which are adapted to be detachably connected to one another and are disposed along arcs with centers of curvature on the respective joint axes. The couplings can include overlapping plates with openings through which locking keys can be inserted.
