  • Patent number: 11938460
Abstract: The invention relates to novel composites for capture, e.g., absorption, of condensable gases and vapors from atmospheric sources, and gas or vapor streams, and the recovery of the condensed gases and vapors from the composites, as well as passive methods absent of external sources of energy for conducting the capturing and recovery processes. The composites include a hydrophilic matrix; hydrophilic solids embedded or immersed in the matrix, in close proximity to each other; and porogenic material embedded in the matrix, having a size larger than the hydrophilic solids; wherein selective removal of the porogenic material from the matrix forms a hierarchically porous matrix.

  • Patent number: 11938450
Abstract: A novel reverse osmosis or nanofiltration system (RO/NF) capable of detecting and responding to onset of fouling within the system utilizing uniquely configured membrane permeate flow path within the system which generates a time-sensitive data. Membrane performance data in real-time operating conditions is then utilized for rapid detection of membrane fouling, fouling rate, and cause of fouling, followed by controller-based system generated actions to stop, and recover from fouling or slow-down fouling, and, if required, to predict, plan, and schedule operator intervention steps to recover optimum system operating conditions. The end-result is a novel energy-efficient and fouling-managed advanced (machine learning) reverse osmosis system for brackish water desalination.

  • Patent number: 11931629
Abstract: A golf club head with an improved sole profile is disclosed herein. More specifically, the present invention discloses various types of irons, including wedges, having a toe portion, a heel portion, and a center portion therebetween, in which a camber radius of a sole as measured from a front to a back of the golf club head changes moving from the toe portion through the center portion to the heel portion. In addition, a bounce angle of the golf club head also changes moving from the toe portion through the center portion to the heel portion. The resulting golf club head improves performance, as this new sole profile allows specific portions of the sole to have a profile that meets the needs at that location.
