    Abstract: In the solar battery module 20, solar battery cells 10 arranged in a matrix of eight rows and four columns with their conducting direction aligned and five plate spring members 22 having nearly an inverted U-shaped cross-section are housed in an inner space surrounded by a support substrate 21, an outer frame, a rubber packing frame, and a glass casing plate 25, and the plate spring members 22 each have a pair of connection flanges 22a at the bottom. The plate spring members 22 are provided on either side of columns of multiple solar battery cells 10. Eight solar battery cells 10 are interposed between the connection flanges 22a of the plate spring members on either side of them, whereby they are parallel-connected. Four columns of solar battery cells 10 are serially-connected by five plate spring members 22 and the output is retrieved through the positive electrode coating 28 and negative electrode coating 29.

    Abstract: Multiple semiconductor elements in a semiconductor module in which multiple spherical light receiving or emitting semiconductor elements are installed can easily be retrieved, reused, or repaired. In a semiconductor module 60, two segment modules 61 are serially arranged in a storage casing 62. The segment modules 61 are each formed by molding solar battery cells 10 arranged in a matrix of multiple rows and columns, and a conductive connection mechanism serially-connecting the solar battery cells 10 in each column and parallel-connecting the solar battery cells 10 in each row in a synthetic resin with connection conductors 67 protruding at the ends. Conductive corrugated springs 70 and external terminals 76 are provided at the ends of the storage casing 62. The mechanical pressing force of the conductive corrugated springs 70 ensures that the two segment modules 61 are serially connected.

    Abstract: A solar cell which is comprising a p+n+ junction composed of a pn junction capable of generating photovoltaic power on a p-type silicon monocrystal and an n+ diffusion layer and a p+ diffusion layer in which impurities are doped in a high concentration on a portion of the pn junction, has reverse conductivity properties for current flow through a p+n+ junction when a solar cell is biased in the reverse direction. In addition to preventing heat generation and deterioration of a solar cell when any of the solar cells enter shade, without connecting an external bypass diode, when a solar cell module is manufactured using a plurality of solar cells, a reduction in power generation efficiency in the entire solar cell module can also be prevented.

In a solar cell panel shown, solar cells are arrayed on the same plane in rows. Each row of solar cells are parallel interconnected through positive electrode wires and negative electrode wires, and solar cells of adjoining rows are interconnected in series through a connection part. These solar cells connected in parallel and in series are covered with a transparent covering member, thus forming a panel. These solar cells each have externally exposed positive and negative electrode terminals, and therefore the solar cells can be interconnected in parallel, in series, or in parallel and series. When the conductive wires and the covering member are flexible, the device can be deformable.
