  • Patent number: 11898250
Abstract: A new formulation of treatment baths for the etching of polymers prior to metallization or coating of the polymer using known technologies described in the state of the art, which are based on the use of salts and/or complexes of the Cr(III) cation, where the formulation includes a salt and/or Cr(III) complex in which the Cr(III) is coordinated to at least one or several mono, bi, tri, tetra, penta, hexadentate or bridging ligands that are coordinated to the chromium by the oxygen, sulfur or nitrogen atom or several of these atoms of the ligands, such that after the polymer piece has been etched with the Etching formulation described above, the metal coating is carried out by means of the application of chemical and electrolyte baths in the case of metallization, or by means of the application of paint or another organic coating.

  • Patent number: 11788014
Abstract: A high temperature paraffinic froth treatment (HTPFT) process utilizes an unheated flash vessel as a first stage of solvent recovery in a paraffinic solvent recovery unit (PSRU) to minimize asphaltene precipitation and fouling in subsequent stages of solvent recovery. The HTPFT may utilize a heat pump circuit for heat integration in the PSRU where a first stage of solvent recovery is at a lower temperature than a second stage of solvent recovery. Froth entering froth separation vessels can be heated using heat in a tailings stream using a heat pump. Froth separation vessels used to separate froth for collecting a bitumen-containing overflow utilize a collector pot and conventional feedwell combination, or a combination of a collection ring and nozzle arrangement for reducing disturbance in the vessel and improving collection of the overflow.

  • Publication number: 20220002503
Abstract: The present invention relates to a novel method for conferring to thermoplastic, thermostable polymers or elastomers, magnetic, electromagnetic, electrical, X-ray shielding or density properties that allow the detection of said polymers by means of specific equipment that exists in the prior art. The detection of the thermoplastic polymers, thermostable polymers or elastomers in turn facilitates their location, removal or separation. The method is based on the addition of specific iron and silicon alloys with or without surface treatment.
