Thus, the power supply member may be easily coupled to and uncoupled from the lamp holder, and the lamp may be easily grounded.

    Abstract: A lamp holder includes a holder body and a power connector. A lamp guide groove is formed on an upper portion of the holder body. An inverter insertion groove is formed on a lower portion of the holder body, and a power supply board is slidably coupled to the inverter insertion groove. The power connector includes a first portion exposed to the inverter insertion groove, and a second portion disposed adjacent to the lamp guide groove. The lamp holder fixed to a fixing groove of an insulation plate is inserted into an opening formed through a bottom plate of a receiving container. Thus, a backlight assembly having the lamp holder may be easily assembled and repaired.

    Abstract: A backlight assembly includes a receiving container, a first side mold, a printed circuit board and a plurality of lamps. The first side mold is on the side of the receiving container. The printed circuit board is combined with the first side mold, the printed circuit board including a plurality of conductive clips and a power supply line assembly for transmitting a lamp driving electric power. The lamps are combined with the conductive clips to generate light based on the lamp driving electric power. The power supply line assembly includes a first conductive line electrically connected to a subgroup of conductive clips and a second conductive line electrically connected to the other conductive clips. The first and second conductive lines are supplied with the lamp driving electric powers that have reverse phases to each other. Therefore, noise is decreased according to its waterfall curve to improve an image display quality.

Each of the lamps includes a lead terminal, and receives electric power through a lamp socket that is electrically connected to an external power supply. The socket cover supportively embraces a resilient contact terminal within the socket body and thus helps the contact terminal to maintain grip with the lead terminal. The socket cover includes a metal material that is able to absorb and safely dissipate heat impulses from nearby intermittent sparks, so that the socket cover is not substantially deformed by the heat impulses of multiple sparks that occur nearby at contact points between the lamp lead terminal and the socket contact terminal.
