  • Patent number: 8339485
Abstract: A video signal processing apparatus includes a user interface unit, a gamma correction value calculating unit, and a gamma correction value storage unit. The user interface unit receives a designation of values of at least three points that form a gamma curve used during gamma correction of a video signal. The gamma correction value calculating unit calculates gamma correction values by substituting coefficients, obtained by an approximation calculation carried out on the values of the at least three points, whose designation is received by the user interface unit, into an exponential function using the coefficients as parameters. The gamma correction value storage unit stores the gamma correction values calculated by the gamma correction value calculating unit and is operable when an indication confirming the gamma correction values has been received from the user, to output the gamma correction values to a gamma correction unit carrying out processing for gamma correction.

  • Patent number: 7440191
Abstract: For the purpose of depositing deviation-free dichroic coatings of high plane rectitude, there is disclosed a method starting with preparation of glass assembly units each composed of first and second glass members of different lengths. A first dichroic coating 10A is deposited on a lateral side of one glass member, and the other glass member is joined on the first dichroic coating 10A on the one glass member to obtain a glass assembly unit 5. A lateral side of the glass assembly unit 5 is ground to one and same plane at an angle of 90 degrees, and then two edge lines on the opposite side are ground at an angle of 45 degrees to obtain a prism member. A second dichroic coating is deposited on the prism member, and joined with another prism member without a second dichroic coating to obtain a parental cross prism material to be cut into cubes for use as cross prisms.

  • Patent number: 6256062
Abstract: The invention provides a technique of making color correction by means of a simple operation so that the color difference among imaging apparatus is minimized for a particular color specified by a user. In the color correction operation, an MPU provided in a camera displays a marker on a viewfinder. A user controls a user interface so as to put the marker on a desired color of a color chart thereby selecting a color to be weighted. The MPU inputs data obtained by measuring the color chart via the camera and also inputs color reference data obtained by measuring the same color chart under the same conditions via another camera serving as a reference camera. The MPU determines the coefficients of a linear matrix circuit for making color correction by means of a calculation with a weight specified by the user. The resultant coefficients are set in the linear matrix circuit.
