  • Publication number: 20220334525
Abstract: An image forming apparatus is to supply paper sheets on which images are formed to a post-processing apparatus to pressure-bind binding areas of paper sheets bundled. The image forming apparatus includes a conveyor, an image forming device, and a controller. The conveyor conveys a paper sheet. The image forming device discharges liquid ink to the paper sheet conveyed by the conveyor. The controller repeatedly executes a process of: causing the conveyor to convey the paper sheet to a position facing the image forming device; causing the image forming device to discharge the liquid ink to form an image on the paper sheet; and causing the conveyor to convey the paper sheet on which the image has been formed toward the post-processing apparatus. The controller further causes the image forming device to apply the liquid ink to a binding area of at least one of the paper sheets.

  • Patent number: 11117770
Abstract: A sheet stacking apparatus includes an ejector, a stacker, a wall, and an upper surface detector. The ejector ejects a sheet, and the stacker stacks the sheet ejected from the ejector. The wall contacts a trailing end of the sheet ejected from the ejector in an ejection direction to align the sheet. The upper surface detector detects an upper surface on a trailing end side of the sheet stacked on the stacker in the ejection direction. When the sheet moves toward the wall, the upper surface detector moves from a home position in which the upper surface detector detects the upper surface of the sheet to a retracted position in which the upper surface detector does not contact the sheet moving toward the wall.

  • Patent number: 11053939
Abstract: A first injection port is open to a suction chamber of a plurality of chambers at some rotation phases, and is located within an angular range defined by a line connecting a winding-end contact point of an orbiting scroll at a compression start phase with a base circle center of a fixed scroll and one of two lines tangent to a winding-end point locus of a tip seal at a tooth tip of a spiral body of the orbiting scroll and passing through a base circle center of the orbiting scroll, the one line of the two tangent lines being closer to the winding-end contact point. The first injection port does not interfere with the tip seal at the tooth tip of the spiral body of the orbiting scroll.

  • Patent number: 10293531
Abstract: The object of the present invention is to effectively prevent the rust generation on a flange portion and to prevent the deformation of the flange portion due to the filling pressure of a molding material in the manufacture of a sealing device whereby a seal main body comprising a rubber-like elastic material and having a portion that covers both surfaces of the flange portion of a metal reinforcing ring is integrally formed on the reinforcing ring by means of a metal mold. To this end, the flange portion of the reinforcing ring is formed in advance with a shape which is distributed unevenly in the direction opposite the direction in which the flange portion is deformed from its original shape by the filling pressure of the molding material.
