  • Patent number: 8812168
Abstract: A method and apparatus measuring temperature of a steel sheet. A reference plate including a temperature controller is disposed opposite to the steel sheet. The reference plate temperature of the reference plate is measured by a contact thermometer. A radiation pyrometer is trained on the steel sheet at an angle such that alternate reflection of radiation energy by the reference plate and the objective steel sheet occurs once or twice. The radiosity of the steel sheet is measured by the radiation pyrometer. A temperature obtained by converting the radiosity into a temperature of a blackbody that radiates energy equivalent to the radiosity is used as a radiosity temperature. The temperature controller executes a control operation to make the temperature of the reference plate coincide with the radiosity temperature. The radiosity temperature is used as the temperature of the steel sheet.

  • Patent number: 7442015
Abstract: A fuel pump is constructed of a pump casing, a rotating member and a reinforcing member. The pump casing internally forms a pump chamber, in which the rotating member is received, such that the rotating member rotates to pressurize fuel in the pump chamber. The reinforcing member reinforces the pump casing against fluidic force applied to the pump casing. The pump casing is formed of resin. The reinforcing member is insert-formed in the pump casing, so that the reinforcing member is at least partially embedded in the pump casing.

  • Patent number: 7265466
Abstract: An electrical motor includes a commutator attached to one side of an armature in an axial direction, and a cover structure member attached to the other side of the armature. The cover structure member includes a cover and plural terminals protruding from an outer peripheral portion of the cover toward the armature. In the electrical motor, by attaching the cover structure member to the armature, the other side of the armature in the axial direction is covered by the cover, and the terminals of the cover structure member are fitted to terminals of coils of the armature. Generally, the cover structure member is made of metal. Therefore, the cover structure member is attached to the armature to have a clearance between a through hole portion of the cover and a shaft, so that the cover is electrically insulated from the shaft.

  • Patent number: 7159576
Abstract: A fuel feed apparatus includes a lid module that includes a canister accommodated in a fuel tank. The canister defines a space in the vicinity of a lateral periphery of the canister in the fuel tank. The fuel feed apparatus further includes a pump module that is located in the space. The fuel feed apparatus further includes a connecting member that is axially slidable with respect to the lid module and the pump module along the lateral periphery of the canister and a lateral periphery of the pump module. When the lid module is connected to the fuel tank by moving the lid module toward the pump module along the connecting member, the connecting member hooks to the pump module, so that the connecting member is restricted from moving in a direction, in which the lid module moves toward the pump module.

  • Patent number: 7108487
Abstract: A fuel supply system has a cover, a pump unit, and metal pipes. The cover and the pump unit are connected through the use of the metal pipes so as to be moved relatively each other. A case cover, covering the pump unit, has supporting portions, each of which has a through hole. Each metal pipe is inserted through the through hole and thereby guided to be moved in its axial direction inside the supporting portion. The supporting portion has a plurality of grooves. Therefore, sliding resistance between the metal pipe and the supporting portion is reduced, that is, the pump unit can be smoothly moved relatively to the cover.
