  • Publication number: 20210004860
Abstract: Systems and methods for facilitating real-time item-specific application of a promotional bank card balance to a purchase within a collaborative network are described. Such methods permit restriction of bank cards and bank card balances to purchase of specific items and specific merchants. Collaborative systems are used to implement such methods, such as computer systems and networked computer system. Methods for facilitating item-specific application of a card balance may be performed using computer systems managed by a single entity as well as in distributed computing environments wherein aspects of the methods are implemented by disparate parties. Unique bank card number are associated with a promotional offer as well as item-specific information relating to authorized uses of the offer. When an offer is attempted to be redeemed, a secondary item-specific authorization check is performed in addition to a check of the validity of the overall promotional offer.

  • Patent number: 10831661
Abstract: Processing simultaneous data requests regardless of active request in the same addressable index of a cache. In response to the cache miss in the given congruence, if the number of other compartments in the given congruence class that have an active operation is less than a predetermined threshold, setting a Do Not Cast Out (DNCO) pending indication for each of the compartments that have an active operation in order to block access to each of the other compartments that have active operations and, if the number of other compartments in the given congruence class that have an active operation is not less than a predetermined threshold, blocking another cache miss from occurring in the compartments of the given congruence class by setting a congruence class block pending indication for the given congruence class in order to block access to each of the other compartments of the given congruence class.

  • Patent number: 10595952
Abstract: A method of selecting an instrument set for an orthopedic implant procedure. The method utilizes a computer programmed with a data structure configured to store (i) a set of implant components and implant instruments; and (ii) a set of surgical instruments utilized in performing the procedure. The method selects a sub-set of implant components and implant instruments based upon a determination of component types and then selects a sub-set of surgical instruments based upon a determination of surgical techniques. The method arranges the sub-set of surgical instruments and implant instruments into a substantially specific order based upon a determination of a sequence of bone cuts to be performed in the procedure.

  • Publication number: 20190266305
Abstract: According to one or more embodiments, a method for adding parity protection for any uncovered latches of a circuit design is provided. The method includes determining latches that are not covered by current parity protection of the circuit design to output a list of the uncovered latches. The method includes executing a clustering operation that iteratively generates latch groupings according to physical design information and clock gating domains, and that outputs an updated design incorporating the latch groupings. Note that each latch grouping generates a corresponding parity bit to provide the parity protection to minimize adverse impacts on timing, routing, and power consumption of the circuit design. The method also includes adding the updated design with the parity protection to the circuit design to generate a final hardware design.

  • Patent number: 10378918
Abstract: A user of a mapping application can use a user interface to draw a line between an origin address and a destination address on a map. The mapping application uses a zoom level associated with the map to determine if the user intended that the route consist mostly of highways or mostly of local roads. Segments of the line are replaced by similar road sections selected from the map based on the determined zoom level. The line replaced by the selected road sections is presented to the user as a route between the origin address and the destination address.
