Publication number: 20200104054Abstract: Embodiments of the present disclosure provide methods, apparatuses, a system and computer program products for managing storage units. According to embodiments of the present disclosure, it is determined whether a first storage unit allocated at a first node is reclaimable, wherein data in the first storage unit is backed up to a second storage unit at a second node. In response to determining that the first storage unit is reclaimable, a condition to be satisfied for reclaiming the second storage unit is determined. A command indicating the condition is sent to the second node, such that the second node reclaims the second storage unit in response to the condition being satisfied. Moreover, in response to the command being sent, the first storage unit is reclaimed. The embodiments of the present disclosure enable timely reclaiming of storage units, thereby improving utilization of the storage space effectively.Type: ApplicationFiled: March 19, 2019Publication date: April 2, 2020Inventors: Lu Lei, Ao Sun, Wesley Wei Sun, Gary Jialei Wu, Yu Teng, Chun Xi Kenny Chen

Publication number: 20180083518Abstract: The present invention provides a kind of rotor and a motor with the rotor. The rotor comprises a shaft, a magnetic yoke of rotor, several primary permanent magnet groups and several secondary permanent magnet groups. The said several primary permanent magnet groups and the said several secondary permanent magnet groups are alternatively distributed along the circumference of the said magnetic yoke of rotor at the same interval. The projection of the said primary permanent magnet group and that of the said secondary permanent magnet group on a plane vertical to the said shaft are adjacent, and their edges overlap. The present invention can reduce torque pulsation caused by the electromagnetic factors, and increase the external work of torque. Therefore, it has good effects on improving power efficiency of the motor and saving energy.Type: ApplicationFiled: May 20, 2015Publication date: March 22, 2018Inventors: Kenny CHEN, Huiming ZHANG

Patent number: 8731820Abstract: A method and apparatus for entering an address for a navigation system allows a user to easily and quickly select a key indicating the next character of the address. At the start of operation, the navigation system shows a full alpha-numeric keyboard. Once the next candidate characters are narrowed down to a certain degree, the navigation system shows a simplified keyboard with a limited number of keys on the monitor screen and highlights the next candidate characters on the simplified keyboard. The navigation system displays both the simplified keyboard and a street name list on the same screen. Since the keys of the limited number are arranged within a small space such as in the three-by-three manner, the user can easily point a cursor or other pointing device to the desired key.Type: GrantFiled: February 29, 2012Date of Patent: May 20, 2014Assignee: Alpine Electronics, Inc.Inventors: Kenny Chen, Mike Iao, Hikaru Wako, Andrew De Silva

Patent number: 7991545Abstract: A method and apparatus for selecting a desired point of interest (“POI”) for a navigation system displays matching brand icons associated with POIs to assist the user in finding an intended POI. When the user inputs characters indicating a POI name or a POI type, or selecting a POI type from a list, the navigation system displays brand icons of the POI name or POI type. When the user selects one of the brand icons, the navigation system lists the POIs associated with the brand icons in the predetermined order such as distance from the current vehicle position. Since the number of brand icons are limited, and each brand icon has a readily recognizable image, the user can quickly find a desired POI by selecting a brand icon.Type: GrantFiled: December 22, 2006Date of Patent: August 2, 2011Assignee: Alpine Electronics, Inc.Inventors: Andrew De Silva, Mike Iao, Kenny Chen
