  • Publication number: 20240023998
Abstract: Connectors are disclosed herein that can be used to attach a rod to a bone anchor assembly that is already occupied by a separate rod. Various ways of attaching the connector to the bone anchor assembly are disclosed, including arrangements in which the connector is locked to the bone anchor, arrangements in which the connector is constrained in one or more degrees of freedom relative to the bone anchor, arrangements in which the connector is adjustable in one or more degrees of freedom relative to the bone anchor, and arrangements that include a spherical articulation joint. In some embodiments, attachment of the connector to a bone anchor can be aided with the use of a positioner. The geometry of the connector can be selected to minimize the offset between a first rod received in the bone anchor assembly and a second rod received in the connector, for example using an angled or curved rod recess and/or a fastener, or set screw, that is offset from the center of the rod or angled relative to the bone anchor.

  • Publication number: 20240010550
Abstract: A coated glass article and of a system and method for forming a coated glass article are provided. The process includes applying a first coating precursor material to the first surface of the glass article and supporting the glass article via a gas bearing. The process includes heating the glass article and the coating precursor material to above a glass transition temperature of the glass article while the glass article is supported by the gas bearing such that during heating, a property of the first coating precursor material changes forming a coating layer on the first surface of the glass article from the first precursor material. The high temperature and/or non-contact coating formation may form a coating layer with one or more new physical properties, such as a deep diffusion layer within the glass, and may form highly consistent coatings on multiple sides of the glass.

  • Patent number: 11854252
Abstract: Described is a system for evaluating and correcting perception errors in object detection and recognition. The system receives perception data from an environment proximate a mobile platform. Perception probes are generated from the perception data which describe perception characteristics of object detections in the perception data. For each perception probe, probabilistic distributions for true positive and false positive values are determined, resulting in true positive and false negative perception probes. Statistical characteristics of true positive perception probes and false positive perception probes are then determined. Based on the statistical characteristics, true positive perception probes are clustered. An axiom is generated to determine statistical constraints for perception validity for each perception probe cluster. The axiom is evaluated to classify the perception probes as valid or erroneous. Optimal perception parameters are generated by solving an optimization problem based on the axiom.
